Fanball down (1 Viewer)

They typically have problems this time of year. I don't think they are very well prepared for their user base onslaught.

Same here too. Yesterday morning Fanball was up and running but it wouldn't let me log in for about an hour (there was nothing wrong with my password) ... eventually it finally worked. Then later in the day it was VERY slow and was down for a few seconds here and there. Now starting late last night and still going on .... it is just completely down. This is very embarrassing for Fanball indeed.

Can anyone actually access the Fanball site? "I can't!" If you can... Will you post the number to their Customer Service? I haven't drafted yet. I want to try to get a refund.

Fanball has been down on several occasions the last couple of days. I can't believe we pay money for the service! I guarantee we will be using someone else next season, as it's difficult to conduct a draft when the site is down repeatedly. lol

I emailed my complaint to Customer Service. Here is the email I received from them this morning:

"Thank you for contacting Fanball Customer Service. We apologize for the problems you experienced on the website the night of the 24th and during the day on the 25th. We had a hardware failure that caused problems with logging in and accessing teams, leagues and online draft rooms, however we have resolved the issues that caused this failure and the website is now functioning properly. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused for you or your league members.

If this response does not answer your question or comment to your satisfaction and you wish to follow up, please reply directly to this email.

At Fanball we are always looking for ways to improve the quality of service provided to our customers, if you have any suggestions for improvement we would like to hear from you. Please send your comments to supportfeedback@fanball.com."

However, as of this morning the site is still down. We have our draft tomorrow evening in a Fanball league. I have set up a league on espn in the event Fanball is still not operating. Next year we will be looking at another site to run our league.

Haha....resolved the problems, my @$s .... now I can at least get on the site, but only to a page that says the following:
System Maintenance

Fanball Commissioner is currently undergoing regularly scheduled maintenance.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause for your league.

Site is "up" in that you can at least reach it. Nothing is accessable however.

They are claiming they are undergoing regularly scheduled maintenance. Puh-lease!

February, March, April, May, June and July - you have six months for maintenance.

They are as believeable as Jerry Angelo. "We've know about the server problems/spine injury for months. Out IT department/doctor is saying this is a new breakdown/break. #^%$!"

I'm asking about a refund.

We used their platform through AOL the last few years and every year they ended up with server problems around this week. And now they don't even have that tasty AOL money since AOL moved to FleaFlicker.

I'm asking about a refund.
When most of my league couldn't access the site and/or open the live draft room, customer service told me I could get a full refund but they will delete the league.
I think a class action lawsuit is in order.
They took our money, and failed to provide acceptable service. They offered a refund, but then delete your team and league?????? Is this the type of organization who deserves our hard-earned money?

UPDATE:

my email to Fanball:

BILLING PROBLEM: How do I go about getting a refund? The site has been down for three days nows. The owners in my league have lost confidence in Fanball.

We all know it's not regularly scheduled maintenance. Various emails from your customer service department have been posted on other websites to that effect. You have 6 months from February through July for maintenance. Any chance you and Jerry Angelo went to the same PR school, you're about as believeable?

Fanball's response:

Thank you for contacting Fanball Customer Service. We apologize for the experience you had with our website on the night of 8/24 and during the day on 8/25. We experienced a technical failure that has since been corrected. A full refund is available for your league however your league will be canceled for the 2008 season. If you'd like to keep your league, we are offering a free entry into Draft And Play football (a $10 value) for you and all of your league members. Please let us know how you'd like to proceed. Again, we apologize for the problems you experienced.
