After the Rain

Hey all,
I am not an expert but I have had quite a bit of experience with daily fantasy sports. I have examined the salaries pretty closely for week 1 and have some guys that I am really considering. In the hopes that it might be able to help some people, here they are:
QB--Rodgers, Brees, Brady, Newton, Griffin, Locker, Wilson
Usually paying top dollar for QB is a pretty good strategy but it is often because the spread between them and a decent starter is not great salary-wise. This week is a little different. Griffin, Locker and Wilson are no doubt risky but they have the potential for nice games. The money they free up for other positions is significant. I would not mess with any of the middle teir guys.
RB--McCoy, McFadden, Lynch, Martin, Kevin Smith
Of the big three, McCoy provides the best value IMHO and the others are all decent value. If I go with a top QB I likely go with Smith but otherwise I am running out two of the others. Martin will likely be on most all of my teams.
WR--Calvin, Andre, Harvin, Garcon, T Smith, N Washington, K Wright
Calvin is expensive, but IMHO he is very good value. GArcon and Smith will likely be on a great many of my teams
TE--Gronk, Graham, Gates, Hernandez, V Davis
I see no reason to go with anyone other than the top 5 here. They all have pretty good matchups and well worth the price IMHO.
K--Gostko, Gould, Hanson, Graham
D--Phil, Hou, Seattle
Feel free to PM me if I can help with any questions or anything. Good luck to everyone giving this a try for the first time!
