Here is a summary of the league settings...
Crash Davis Baseball 2011
• $250 entry fee - 100% payout after CBS Sports fee ($150)
• Reg. season 1st=$650, 2nd=$350 3rd=$250 ; playoffs 1st=$700, 2nd=$400, 3rd=$300, 4th=$200
• Host site: CBS Sports
• 12 teams consisting of both AL and NL players
• Weekly 5x5 Head to head scoring
• Two head to head matchups per week
• Batting categories: R, RBI, HR, SB, OPS
• Pitching categories: ERA, WHIP, K, SV, Net Wins
• Daily lineup changes
• Auction draft held on CBS Sports (date TBD)
• 31 players auctioned per team with a $300 salary cap
• 21 starters: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, CI, MI, LF, CF, RF, 2 Util., 4 SP, 2 RP, 3 P
• 10 reserves and 4 injured reserve
• Weekly add/drop using a free agent acquisition budget
• Maximum of 10 major league players may be kept
• Major Leaguer keeper price increases: +$3 year 1, +$5 year 2, +$7 year 3, +$8 year 4 and beyond
• Separate 5 player minor league auction with a $20 salary cap
• Maximum of 5 minor leaguers may be kept
• Minor Leaguer keeper price increases: +$1 year 1 and beyond
The league is entering it's third year. We have a solid owner base that is very competitive. There are two available teams. A dispersal draft will be held where the two new owners may select up to ten keepers from among the available player pool. The player pool is absolutely loaded with talent at attractive keeper prices. In fact, several of the best keeper prospects in the league are in the available player pool. The two new owners will have an advantage over the returning teams based on the quality of keeper talent available. I'm jealous of available talent.
