Fantasy Baseball is better than F Football (1 Viewer)

AND THATS A FACT!!! Fantasy Baseball is the true fantasy skill game. Fantasy Football is really FANTASY FLUKEBALL. The outcome is 75% luck and 25% skill while fantasy baseball really shows a team owners skills and the outcome of the league is determined by skills and not luck. Girls play fantasy football, and girls win at fantasy football and they have no idea what they are doing because it is determined by luck. Girls dont play fantasy baseball, it's too difficult for them and would require them to actually know a thing or 2.

That's what I'm taking from this.In other news, gnarboots11 finds chess more difficult than checkers.

Funny that you say that, cause Checkers=Fantasy Football and Chess=Fantasy Baseball. That is a very good comparison you just made, thank you.

Difficulty aside, I was SO excited a couple years back to join my first fantasy baseball league. Was a $500 buy in, so the stakes were high - it mattered. My team was well in the hunt most of the season.

It was the most boring thing I have ever watched. What is great about fantasy football imo are two things: (1) The fact that watching a football game for fantasy reasons is FUN - things can happen at least 1/2 of the time in your favor, when your player is on the field. Especially a stud player. Can be almost as exciting and enjoyable as watching your home team place. In baseball, you have 4-5 chances a game, each of which takes a minute or so. In the end, its like watching paint dry. I LOVE watching a baseball game, and the stats are very fun to examine, but they are damn boring to watch "occur" outside of the context of the game, and winning/losing that game.

(2) Head to head. Perhaps if I were in a head to head baseball league it would be a little more fun, but it seems almost every league is roto style which just takes all the immediate fun of winning / fear of losing out. It takes away the importance of setting the lineup. Ok, you miss out on a HR in baseball. Pick the wrong guy in football, a 8-5 season becomes a 7-6 season and you miss the playoffs.

I know many love it, and I wont take anything away from them. For me, however, fantasy baseball was one of the more dissapointing endeavors of my life.

Can we move this to The Shark Pool?
wouldn't last more than a few minutes before being locked or removed from the Shark Pool (and some of those guys don't even understand the differences)more likely in FFA - maybe you would actually get some discussionBUT this is way below the level of most all of the posters in this forumalthough I supposed if Koya and Eephus get as far as kissing AND their are pics.....

I'm in 2 leagues that are 7X7 weekly H2H with daily lineup changes. It's like Football Sunday everyday for 6 months. And of course FB is better than FF - that's a no brainer.
