Who? Why? How high would you draft either one or both?

Both are mid-late 1st rounders. Fielder is younger and has more upside. Howard is already 28.

The big tradeoff is AVG in Fielder's favor vs. a HR advantage (maybe) for Howard. Howard's high SO number is a concern. It's hard to be a positive contributor in AVG with 200 SOs. His .268 AVG last year wasn't a category killer but it doesn't help a team much. He seems a lot more likely than Fielder to slip into Adam Dunn territory.

I've been trying for the last few years to get rid of AVG in my league, since it is so overrated. To no avail yet. But I reckon it won't be too much longer.
