You can add Keller and Boss to the list of potential TE's who will shine.

Never has the position fielded this many startable TE's

Or maybe it was just a good week 1 for a bunch of guys that will regress to the mean. I mean, I didn't get to see every game, but we've seen these blips on the radar from guys like Royal before.

Someone like Fasano is intriguing because, while I don't think he's a top shelf talent, he certainly may be in the right place at the right time.

In Royal's case they did look for him in the preseason, and he had two TDs in the preseason so with few receiving options in Buffalo and an Oline that is coming into it's own in pass protection Royal is a guy I would try to get if you need TE help.

Scaife - good player with good hands. Bad offense and Crumpler will take away from him, imo.

Fasano - good situation for a decent athlete. Definitely worth a look if you don't have a good TE.

Rosario - showed a lot in the game. Good hands, obviously with a good connection w/ Delhomme.

Royal - good preseason but don't like him in the long run. Too inconsistent over the years.

Carlson - could be the right guy in the right situation . Seattle though hasn't used TEs too much.

my rank:

-fasano

-rosario

-scaife

-royal

-carlson

I think Carlson might be an excellent buy low sell high candidate. With Burleson done for the year Seattle's receiving game doesn't have many options. Courtney Taylor? For the next few week Carlson may get a lot of looks. Especially with St. Louis coming up in Week 3.

Randy McMichael is available in my league? Better option than those listed in this thread? STL sux though but that also means they will be playing from behind and throwing a lot. Fasano intrigues me more than the others listed in this thread. Presently, I have Kevin Boss...waited a long time before drafting my TE. Thoughts on McMichael?

He was a 2nd round NFL draft pick which is pretty good for a TE

that won't change much IMORookie TEs don't do well, historically speaking.Buffalo TE being good in FF-when's the last time that happenned.Keller love, he had ZERO stats this past SundayBoss, GMen used 3 WR sets more with Smith in and Boss stayed in to block more than his FF owners wanted, I'm sure.smoke N mirrors for some of these guysFasano is a good talent that was stuck behind Witten and now plays in a Parcells O. Parcells' TEs for FF have been gold.Scaife had a nice summer and is developping into a good player. The Titans go 4 deep at TE. Good luck predicting who will get the bulk of the work.McMichael is McMichael.
