Went with "Other", favorite from Fleetwood Mac is "World Turning". That's Lindsey's best guitar work with Mac ... well, that and "The Chain".

Coulda gone "Chain" and "Secondhand News", as well.
My old bar band used to start out a set with that. Great way to ease into some serious jams.

Great band. Rumours is one of the best albums of all time.

Tough call between The Chain and You Make Loving Fun for me............went with The Chain because the bass and the guitar solo rocks at the end of that song.

Second Hand News (turned up very loud)

Never Going Back Again

Big Love

What Makes You Think You're the One

Bleed to Love Her

The Ledge

... the rest

I went with "Dreams," which is even more awesome on The Dance live DVD. "I'm So Afraid" came in a close second.

Not a huge FM fan at all, but most of their hits are really good, as well as some of their deeper cuts.

Buckingham is probably one of the most underrated guitarists ever, and, yeah, Stevie Nicks was sick hot back in the day. :IBTL: :)

Anything Stevie sings = 10

Anything Christine sings = 1 :spade:

The rest = 8 :club:

This tour was AWESOME because Christine wasn't along.

More time for Stevie! :spade:

Can't stand Lindsey, but the man can play ....

Rumours is a "Great" album, nearly flawless, not a bad song on it and it weaves together like a good movie.

Is it an urban legend, or truth about how Ms. Nicks ingested cocaine?
By the way, heard from an insider that this is 100% true. Even had a guy along on tour who had that job of putting it up her bum.
That dude's life peaked right there.
I wonder if he later put that on his resume.
It would be the smart thing to do but he would also need to have proof. Who is ever going to believe you were the man without some sort of proof?

Sometimes HR will call the former employer to verify.

This one is probably going to need an autographed picture of him and her in process including her winking at the camera.

If he can't come up with that he could try photo shopping himself into the right lower corner of this: http://eil.com/images/main/Fleetwood+Mac+-+Rumours+-+White+Vinyl+-+LP+RECORD-88553.jpg

The former employer adamantly denies the rumor.

"Dreams" is one of those tunes that I hear ad nauseum, but never get tired of it. Such a great song.

lots of good ones but my favorite is sentimental lady (bare trees album)
Same here - love the old stuff much more.
I've never been a huge Fleetwood Mac fan. I liked some of the hits well enough but grew pretty tired of them due to the radio overplay and never really dug into the back catalogue. I was completely unfamiliar with their first few albums, only knowing the Nicks/Buckingham lineup.

Two weeks ago this song came on the public radio station and I think someone's made a cover of the softer-rock, single version that Welch released in 1977 only to find out this was the original. This version on Bare Trees is so far superior to the single that I decided I should delve into their earlier work.

What are the best of their first 10 albums?

My favorite Fleetwood Mac song changes with the wind. Like a tennis rankings ladder, songs move up and down every week.

Right now, I'm going with "You Make Loving Fun" for the guitar work, especially the tiny riff near the end that just sounds soooooooo good.

2:40 in this song.....that guitar riff is just perfect. Hits me right where I itch.

Silver Springs here
I love the way this thread is bumped every 6 to 11 years - see some old names that aren't around here anymore. My current personal favorite Mac song would be The Green Manalishi (With the Two Prong Crown) or Silver Springs.

See you sometime between 2031 and 2036.

"I'm going to be singing Dreams and Rhiannon when I'm 75 - and that's just fine with me. I just hope my chiffon doesn't get tangled in my rocking chair." - Stevie Nicks.Oct 6, 2021

Solid all around band. Lots of great songs. However, i went with Tusk because something about the drums is just so damn awesome.
Of their more modern era, Tusk is probably my favorite. Of the Pete Green songs, Green Manalishi.
