Not a huge fan at all of the 5 minute rule though I understand the late race protection it affords. If they keep it they have to change it so that it's actually the time in the pit box and not the whole pit in time.
I hate the stages in the Busch race. They started to grow on me yesterday. I get the concept. It might end up making the mile tracks a ton more exciting which could be a real boost to the race experience on TV. Some of those tracks get boring as hell. It should also make the shorter tracks very interesting so I am going to be hopeful.
And I think we have to give them more than just Daytona on all of this. Restrictor plate racing is just a different animal.

The stages changed pit strategy at Daytona because it's a big track with a dependency to run with drafting buddies. Groups of cars pitted out of sequence because they weren't going to go a lap down and were guaranteed competition yellows at laps 60 and 120 to get back on sequence.
I don't think teams will do this on shorter tracks where early pit stops will put them a lap down and at risk of getting caught out by a real yellow.

Last week, my best driver placed 14th. This week, my worst driver was 20th.
I'll take those results. Just hope for more of the Altanta's and less of the Daytona's.

Did you catch the "gridwalk" by Waltrip? He had one of the Monster Girls holding an umbrella to shade the sun for him. Leave it to NASCAR to draw me back in to watching the most racing I have watched in years. This year's circus has been fun so far.at the eye candy next to the winner every week. When are we going to get to the point where they just stand there at least topless? I mean that's the only reason she is there, to show off the ####. Let's see them.
