FBG's various platform's rankings question (1 Viewer)

Please move if in the wrong area.

I've input my league settings into the  DD, MyFBG's, and the VBD excel applications.

All three are giving me varying differences and rankings.  The DD and MyFBG's cheat sheet seem similar, however the VBD excel sheet is different.

Are all these pulling in Bob Henry's projections?  Is the formula for the VBD excel much different than the DD app?

Either the DD or the VBD (top 50) aren't understanding my settings.

Which do you prefer on draft day?

I can't comment on differences between the rankings between apps from the start, but DAD is preferable to draft from IMO because it actually adjusts rankings throughout the draft based on who has been drafted, what your team's current needs are based on who you've drafted, and who other teams have drafted/who the app projects will be picked between your current pick and your next pick.

The VBD excel sheet uses a different formula for rankings than DD.  I believe either system can use any of the four guys' projections or a combination of them.

I like to see both and see where I am off on my own.  I don't "like" either of them above my own, they each have there issues in my mind.  I haven't used the VBD excel sheet this year but I have the past several.

I agree, I used to use the VBD until the app came out.  I fired it up to see though.  We start Q,R,W,T,F,F,K,D  with only 4 bench (12 teams)

It sky-rocketed RB's   18 of the Top 30 selections (We can start 1,2, or 3)

It also has Gostikowski 51st overall.

I would think in the format you listed RB's would be king, especially if non-ppr.  If I remember right the VBD sheet did wierd stuff with kickers and defenses.

it's PPR.

I'd still think 1RB and 3WR's is the way to go. I'm going to use the APP as I'm sure the app has replaced VBD excel sheet.

Just think it's weird to have guys like Duke Johnson ahead of Dez Bryant and D-Thomas.

Thats off then.  In PPR my sheet shows 12RBs in the top 30 and 16RBs to 32WRs for the 48 starters.

I was figuring because there's so much flexibility that it wants you to have 1 of the top 24 RB's at least before you start plucking WR's

Something's off and I'm confident it's set up correctly with league settings.
