When does the 2017 version of the DD app get released? So there's a bunch of options on that page I linked to in my original post. If you want to go deeper than that, the exact same format cheat sheets can be generated from the Draft Dominator, where you can edit every setting like number of teams, exact scoring, exact lineups, keepers, move players up/down, add players to watch/avoid lists, change balance of positions or projectors, etc.
When we have a date we'll let you guys know. By the end of June for sure. When does the 2017 version of the DD app get released?
Agreed about wanting to export to EXCEL. (i'm not a DD guy....have used the VBD app for years and tailored it to do extra stuff....bummed to hear that it only uses a single set of projections)Curious if there is anyway to have these set up so they can also be exported to Excel do some of our own customization - to the sheet and the print settings (for example, I usually prefer to set my sheet up to print on a ledger size (17x11) which gives me the ability to often print larger and also to print on one page)
I can copy/paste into Excel but it loses formatting, etc., so it's not the easiest to work with, although, with the way I usually like to customize my cheatsheet for draft day, not necessarily the worst thing, just requires a lot of manual manipulation after the fact.
Actually only 2 defenses...It's friggin awesome. Auction-draft. 25 player rosters...been going for about 10 years. We love it.A Hybrid Super-Flex with 2 kickers and 3 defenses, you say?![]()
Dear God.
ESPN's draft system is proprietary, so while we could simulate requests and hack into it, if they changed their HTML markup the app would basically be broken until we could fix it. We're not happy working with a non-published API or putting out an app that could be broken by someone else - so we don't support this right now.Does the Draft Dominator automatically interface with the ESPN draft system? Or does it work with you entering each draft step manually? Is it a one click kind of thing?
Is DD a free app to subscribers here?
Really interested in this. I stunk last year and need to up my game. Got too enamored by rookies and ended up with a weak bench. Well, that and I choose poorly early with L Miller and Allen Robinson #s 12 and 13. Kind of sunk my team on draft day.
It's a dynamic clustering algorithm. Closest two players are merged together into a tier, and assigned a new pts value of their means. Algorithm re-runs continuing to merge the closest two "players" until only X tiers are left. X is based on how many teams and how many starters at that position.Windows 7 - Chrome....everything printed fine in a landscape format.
Love the starter tiering markings. Is this a math/algorithm formula OR something to do with ADP OR roughly eyeballing the dropoff points? Maybe left best to another thread someday but I like the practicality of allowing me to on a quick visual seeing the tier-groups.
Thanks Simon.
Interesting. Thanks!!!It's a dynamic clustering algorithm. Closest two players are merged together into a tier, and assigned a new pts value of their means. Good enough for me. One click to show they were drafted and the system knows which team got them. And I can easily enter my voice in the ESPN system manually. Thanks. I eagerly anticipate this rollout so I can try it with some mock drafts.ESPN's draft system is proprietary, so while we could simulate requests and hack into it, if they changed their HTML markup the app would basically be broken until we could fix it. But, all it involves is just hitting each player as they are drafted (and then entering your picks onto ESPN too)
DD is free to subscribers on desktop, but the mobile versions are not included. We'll have threads on the app to go into more detail once we get closer to the release date for 2017. Thanks!
Is X the result of a proprietary formula AND/OR is it different for each of the positions? Reason I ask - on my sample sheet (10 Team 2QB 2RB 3WR/TE PK DEF), there are 3 tiers each in the QB & RB starter group but 7 tiers for WR/TE starter group. It's a dynamic clustering algorithm. X is dependent on how many players we expect to start on that position on a weekly basis. I can't remember exactly how it's generated off the top of my head.Is X the result of a proprietary formula AND/OR is it different for each of the positions? Old VBD will be available. But the better option would be to use the new Draft Dominator, which supports way more settings than the old VBD, and can generate cheat sheets in exactly this new format. The new Draft Dominator will be very easy to use this year and may not even need you to install a program to work.looks good, but will old VBD be available? The reason I say this is I have a few leagues with some funky scoring rules that are not part of your standard group. I generally manipulate the VBD spreadsheet to get where I need to be. (Unless this thing will have some crazy manipulation examples)
