Question for y'all.

One of the biggest challenges we have at Footballguys is making our content easy to access. It often comes from trying to make it more powerful or flexible. I fear we've done that with our Rankings.

These are our Draft Rankings: https://www.footballguys.com/rankings/duration/preseason

The default view is PPR scoring, 1 QB starting (we call that Standard) and 12 Teams.

All of those categories have options. And you can "Add your league" to get your scoring.

For what rankers are displayed, the default is "FBG Consensus" that includes all our Staff that do rankings.

BUT, we also allow the viewer to display all the individual rankings. Or they can display just the Staff rankings they want to see.

Here's how to do that:

In the upper left box where it says Pick Experts, click on the down arrow to open the options.

At the top of the box there are two options:

- Use Footballguys Consensus (includes all below experts)
or
- An average of selected individual experts below

Click the 2nd one.

Then click "select all" if you want all the rankers.

Or if you want just some, select the ones you want.

Then click done.

We added that extra flexibility to make it more powerful but I can see that it's more difficult to find. We'll work on making that easier to see.

We put a lot of work into making it better and want to make sure everyone can see it.

I find this quite useful as it displays the date of submission by the rankers. No use using rankings that are a week or two old.

Thank you. And I agree.

Adding in the functionality of displaying when the ranker last updated their rankings was a feature we wanted to include. I agree it's important.

I printed out a cheat sheet and it didn't match the the rankings of the individual expert I selected. In fact, it seems like the print version of the cheat sheet doesn't change regardless of which experts are selected. Is it possible to print a custom cheat sheet?

It looks pretty straight-forward to me, Joe. And I am far from the most tech-savvy person in the world. I like this format better than the old matrix style where all of the rankers were listed across the top - IIRC, you couldn't mix and match rankers with that one.

I view the rankings regularly. As @OldMilwaukee pointed out, it's very important to know the dates of each staffer's rankings. I typically just remove any staffer whose rankings are over week old.

Thanks. I love that "last update" feature. For me the time frame will sometimes depend. If I know very little has changed, I might go a little longer. But also, we ask our people to update super frequently.

Very good point! Something that I do as well is select an average of individuals, then you can see where each staffer differs from the rest. For example, if you select all 20 experts with offensive rankings, you can see Bob Henry is much higher than the rest on his love for JJ McCarthy, while Matt Waldman feels the opposite about Justin Fields.

Thanks. Right now, the "Print Cheatsheet" give you a beautiful cheatsheet customized to your league and scoring system and number of teams with the FBG Consensus rankings.

We've never done it before but I like the idea of being able to create a customized cheatsheet AND pick what rankers you want included. Let us put that on the future list of things we'd like to try and do. Good idea.
