FF playoff one-hit wonders (1 Viewer)

Two of them come to mind for me, I'm sure most of you remember them.

2001: I claim every possible decent RB option to try to force my semi-final opponent into starting a crappy back, but he sneaks Shawn Bryson onto his team from the waiver wire. Week 15: 161 total yards, 2 TDs, bouncing me from the playoffs.

1999: I win my division, but fail to secure a bye and have to face a wildcard team - the same guy as the previous scenario. I scoff as he has no option but to start Qadry Ismail. Week 14: 258 yards and 3 TDs later, not scoffing so much.

Who else?

2007 wild card weekend. I pluck Fred Jackson from the waiver wire and insert him into the starting lineup. 160 yards of total offense and 2 scores....bouncing the Lynch owner out of the playoffs.

2006, Cedric Houston, week 13, turns in an amazing performance against Green Bay, just a few days after I plucked him off the wire. Started him the wild card week, lost by 2. Would've won the whole dang thing had I survived that game.

Five years ago Jeff Garcia had 6 td's in round1 and then had like 6 the next two weeks to carry me to a title.

I also had Kevan Barlow who blew up that same post season and people bruned first rounders on him the next year.

The Volek/Bennett combo.

2004 Billy Volek 492 Yards and 4 TDs.
:moneybag: In 2004 I set the records in our league, both of which still stand, for points scored and wins (13-1) and just destroyed everyone else ... my first playoff game was against the owner who had Billy Volek AND Drew Bennett. I got pulverized. Volek and Bennett came back down to earth in week 16 - our Super Bowl week - and that owner lost.Ni

I lost to the Ismail team that year.

2006 Ron Dayne. He wasn't a 1 week wonder, but he really put it together in the playoffs and his 153 yards and 2 TDs killed me in the Super Bowl. (We give +3 milestone bonuses at 100 and 150 yards, so he got 15 (yards) + 6 bonus + 12 (TDs) = 33 pts.

Worse yet, my team was mostly unstoppable most of the year with LT, Willie Parker, Gates, and good WRs (can't remember the whole team). I get to the championship weekend playing a team that wasn't bad with LJ and others, but wasn't nearly in my class.

I wasn't involved in the game but getting Dilgered has become a recognized expression in our league. It was like 4 TD's and 100yds in a fantasy playoff game. Maybe 5 and maybe the Colt TE's only scores of the entire season.

In my first fantasy superbowl, my opponent left Steve McNair on the bench (week 17). He threw 3 TDs and rushed for another 2. He lost the game by 6. He would have won by 38 with McNair in the lineup.
