FFA Top 200 Horror Movies of All Time: #127: Frailty (4 Viewers)

My favorite movie of all time (not just horror) is a borderline thriller/horror that I feel does belong but I'm personally leaving it and others like it off. Personally wanted this to mostly be pure horror for me, but I want others to make that choice for themselves.
My #1 is definitely Horror, and I hope to see it on many of the lists...

I've got my list whittled down to 75. After removing a number of questionable entries that are probably more along the lines of "psychological thriller", I'm not too crazy about the last 10 or so entries on my list. I looked at some lists online and realized I have some pretty big gaps in what I've seen.

I think everyone has some gaps. I am woefully underexposed to anything before the late 60s and there are some good movies there even outside of the classic monster flicks.

I remember watching a number of Vincent Price era horrors when I was younger, but I don't remember them well enough to be able to put them on my list.

Down to just 1 movie that appears on all 12

How is this possible???
I feel like horror tastes vary wildly. You can have one person who abhors gore and is just into the classic monster movies, or someone who gets off on torture porn. I feel like even for the usual top horror films, most have something in them that can turn someone off for one reason or another.

Not to spoil anything, but I've received 5 different spellings of Sematary. :lmao:

This is the most laborious part of consolidating the lists. The slight differences in naming from list to list. Silence of the Lambs vs THE Silence of the Lambs

12 lists in.

Down to just 1 movie that appears on all 12....
Honestly that is ****ing mind blowing.

This is not the Cannes film festival.

It's horror!!!!
I love it. There are so many hidden gems within horror, especially internationally. We’re going to get a lot of these highlighted as part of the top 200.
Looking forward to it!! Like I said 75 was not even enough for this horror addict!

I had indicated myself as a “maybe” earlier. Think I’m going to sit out and read as well. Started pulling together, but hit a wall around 40 movies in. Hope some of my favorite horror silents get recognized though.

This is where I am. It's been a bad week and I've stalled out around #35 on my list. I will just read along and argue for this adventure. I had planned to put something together for categories for the 31 horror movies in October challenge that a few seemed to attempt last year.

Your input will be missed but understand it's a bit of an undertaking.

I think all we need now is @Ilov80s ??

Please check your lists one last time for duplicate movies. My rigorous quality control process (cough cough) hasnt been checking this so far.

A lot of my problem is I take these things too seriously and I don't have the mental bandwidth this week. Looking at my list and judging on the people and comments so far, I can't imagine many of mine not being covered, just would slightly alter the rankings.

Yeah, each list has fairly good coverage for sure, despite them all being so different.

Here's how many movies from each list are represented in the current top 200.

BroncoFreak_2k3 64
The Gator 64

Hope to have it in today. It’s 90% done, just need to finish the last bit and type it up. I should have time today.
