That's a good question. If you look at Sagarin's NFL ratings page, when you match the two teams up, he has the Cheifs listed at a pretty solid 3; with 3.12, 3.16, 3.16, and 3.06 among his rating, predictor, golden mean, and recent ratings, respectively. That probably made it real easy for the book to throw a -3 out there for the home team, especially as it's the most common margin of victory in the NFL - occurring about 18.69 percent of the time.
