2024 - 2025 Battle for Shining Path's Cup - Draft Done and Rosters Loaded! (2 Viewers)

What's the deal with the schedule? I think I've already played achane but can't find a schedule tab on the site.
So we play everyone in division twice???

Two weeks ago The Convicts were 4-5 and facing their next 2 games against the 7-2 Chunga's Revenge and the 8-2 Unfrozen Cavemen.

After 2 wins we're at 6-5 and have an outside shot at making the playoffs in this League for the first time. Big shout out to Famous Jameis and Chase Brown for filling in admirably while Big Mike Evans has been out.

I just checked and somehow I'm in 6th place. My team is awful. It's got to be smoke & mirrors.

It's mathematics. Despite only having 1102 total points scored, you only have 1085 against.

The Convicts have scored 1205 but have the most points in the League against, 1263. That's fantasy.

Big game for Mile High this weekend. Let's hope Breece Hall isn't out.

Win and we control our own destiny. Lose and no telling what the situation is.

Looking at it closer, if I lose this week, it is highly likely that I am eliminated. Too many teams would jump in front of me.

Convicts currently favored by a half point. :scared:

This is what I came up with for scenarios.

Chunga"s Revenge (10-3 1491.0 pts))- 1st round bye
Unfrozen Cavemen (10-3 1427.9)- 1st round bye with win or Binky the Doormat loss
Binky the Doormat (9-4 1508.64)- 1st round bye with win and Caveman loss (most likely based on pts scored)

These top three have clinched playoff spots.

The rest are going to be based on record and points.

Win and in (probably) based on record and pts scored
Mile High Magic (7-6) - 1549.12 pts
Aussie Convicts (7-6) - 1419.22
Achane and Life (7-6) -1315.12 (and not get caught by Cat Wizards (-16.04) or Higgins Own and Shoot (+85.04 ) in points scored.

Cat Wizards (7-6 1299.08) Higgins (7-6 1230.08), The Dufinator (6-7 1441.08), Running Robots. (6-7 1389.46), Chao's Sneakers (6-7 1308.16), and Couch Burners (6-7 1228.04) all need to win and get some help.

No way I win this week. This is not a reverse jinx. I'm just getting slammed by the week 14 byes.

The scenarios are many. It should be an interesting day. Good luck to everybody besides those of you trying to oust me from my 6th position. May you fail miserably and feel the pain caused by your efforts.

Blessed are the Jauans of the world for they shall inherit the meek.

No, wait, that’s not how it goes. Damn it. Don’t choke this away, rock.

my team is falling apart

Interesting day. Are the tiebreakers done by total points or by head-to-head or by a combination of both, and if both, then which comes first in order in determining placement?

@Corporation

Would appreciate any answer you can give, Corp.

Wait, are you saying I was already eliminated before the week began???

Checking the Yahoo official rules. I just used exactly what the default says.

Oh, okay. Cool. I couldn’t find it in the Settings, so maybe they tell you somewhere in the Commish’s tools. I looked about three times and couldn’t find it.

For Wildcards In Fantasy Football:

  • Total fantasy points (season total).
  • Fantasy points scored in the most recently completed matchup.
  • Fantasy points scored in the matchup two weeks prior (this continues until the tie is broken).
Unlikely to get a tie in total fantasy points since we use fractional scoring.

For Division Titles:

  • The division winning percentage is used first.
  • If there's still a tie, the wild card method (above) is used.
  • If there's more than 2 managers tied for division champion, once the winner is determined, the remaining teams will use the wild card method only (division winning percentage is ignored).
Yahoo says this can't be customized so it should be like all other Yahoo leagues anyone has been in.

Well, that was the first place I looked as well, it isn't in there :D I had to go to their general site and that's where I saw you can't customize it so I guess they thought they didn't need to put it in settings.

Gotcha. Thanks for looking and for running this, bud. I can wait until Tuesday to find out. I’m pretty sure I know what’s going on. I’m 1-1 against everybody that’s close to me, anyway.

eta* I had missed your post with the answers in it, by the way. I didn’t scroll up enough. I know my positioning for the most part, then. Thanks.

Congrats to our playoff teams! A pretty remarkable year in a 14 team league, only 3 teams had a record below .500 (and one of those was just barely). Our 2 teams with a bye were 10-4, along with one other 10-4 team then all of our 8-4 teams, no tiebreakers were needed.

Byes - @New Binky the Doormat and @Neal Cassady

@rockaction vs @bro1ncos
@Keerock vs @higgins

Rudely, they decided to give byes in the consolation bracket instead of letting me and @Nathan R. Jessep play :D

Good luck to all, I always enjoy this league and hope everyone returns next year!

Welp, if you’re going to throw up a dud, then I guess it’s best when the opponent would have trucked you regardless.

This isn’t a reverse jinx. I have a defense left down twenty. I’m pretty sure I’m done, though Desmond Ridder seems to be going for LV. I think. So never say never but this is quite the long shot. I guess I’ll come back to wish good luck because it’s bad form before the game is totally over.

Besides, all your smiling internet avatars keep me coming back. :)

How about best of luck the rest of this week? May all your players remain unscathed.

@bro1ncos GG, bud.

Good luck to you all the rest of the way. The best four teams are in the semis as it should be. I’d keep my eye on that Binky guy. Steal a point or two with his Shakes The Clown routine and you won’t even know it.

Peace, brothers. Good to have played with you all. Now I battle it out for fifth with higgins. Heh. That all taken care of, I hope to see you all next year!

reaction.

same here guys!

Fifth place! Has a nice ring to it! Picked a heck of a week to have a heck of a week.

Achane went nuts this weekend and didn’t slide when he should have. GG, higgins.

See you all next year. Best of luck to Keerock and that Binky guy. You won’t catch me taking sides between these two. Let’s hope for an exciting finish. Peace, fellas. Merry Christmas or Happy Hanukkah or whatever you celebrate this 25th. (It’s a rare double dip this year for Hanukkah’s beginning and Christmas Day!)

So peace be with you all.

It’s a good league, Corp. Thanks for running it. The only problem is that Keerock guy. He needs to start paying rent for his house in the finals of this thing.

In all serious, what a fantasy football player! Keerock, man, and Binky too (Didn’t you win Tim league once?). Just excellent fantasy football guys. I admire you both for being consistently just good at it. It’s quite remarkable. I remember the points league Andy ran was so far over and done with by the finish because Keerock was so far ahead we actually changed the format and ran playoffs to keep people involved—but everybody knew who the champ was.

Nice work in this league, Keerock. I know I said it before, but I hope you guys shatter some scoring records (Nico won’t help, Kee. I suffered through that one in another league today. My dynasty league finals.)

Peace and goodwill to you all.
