$75 for 1 team, 3 for $210, 6 for $310, 10 for $550, (tier one price)

Their gonna have "tiers" now. For that price you win your league

and your in the Las Vegas bracket.

Tier 2- pay $125 for a team and you can finish 2nd in your league

and still make the Las Vegas bracket.

Tier 3 pay #200 for a team and you can finish 6th (not a typo)

in your league and make the Las Vegas bracket.

NUTS!

I don't like it. It will be nearly impossible to gauge how many teams will make Vegas and determine pot odds. They are not giving away any cash prizes to the League Champion, so basically only 30-50 teams will actually get paid cash (Vegas bracket and other brackets).

In addition, they lowered the overall prize pools. I bought 6 teams last year, and 3 made Vegas. I was ready to put most of my FFB money into this league, but now I am thinking otherwise.

Gambleholic, Those are good points but how long will that 6th place team

last in the Vegas bracket?

All those tier 3 teams are not gonna make it- that's the cash cow for the FFOC.

I like the FFOC format and participated this year. The new tier system is interesting. But it's a bit concerning that they are already accepting early sign-ups for next season. Obviously they are running a deficit from year 1 and need to bring in year 2 money early to cover it. Everybody knows they took a loss in the first year in order to build up a customer base. But if they fail to reach their goal in the future, then eventually this ends up being a fantasy ponzi game for lack of a better term with sign-ups in subsequent years paying off the prize money debts from last year. I would be interested to know when they plan to achieve profitability (year 1 + x) and how many signups they would need to reach that goal.

My guess is not a lot of 6th place teams will be competing for big money. They will probably have to overcome a 30-40 point lead in week 16. I can see some 3-4th place teams doing well and making the cut.In my opinion, the value in this years contest compared to last year is way low. Everyone who enters is pretty much giving their money away unless they finish in the top 15 (and there will probably be 10-25K entries). I planned on spending a couple grand on the contest, but am now thinking maybe 200-300.I really want to know if each league will consist of the same Tier teams, or a mix. This will play a big part. There's no way I would do a Tier 3 team if it was group with other Tier 3 teams (Tier 1s will give up much easier).Lots of unanswered questions, that's for sure.

The tiers have nothing to do with what your league is doing. They don't come into play

until week 11. That's when those tier 2 and 3 team get thrown into the Vegas bracket.

Some might last 4 weeks but won't have enough points to make the top 15.

I'm gonna buy 10 teams (tier 1) and go from there.
