Don't you smoke foods all the time? According to that link, you're a dead man.
I'm aware of this. I try to minimize the smoke with mostly lump and not much live wood. But it's a risk. High temp seems a much higher risk IMO.
I actually wasn't aware of this. I always thought it was a myth. Kind of makes me wonder. I smoke a lot of food. :unsure:

Why would lump be better than live? (I use lump in my egg).

 
Sure if he could do sous vide that is great. But most people don't have the right setup to do that.
This has great reviews on Amazon. For $300, it seems like it might be worth it.
If you have cheapo (non-digital) crock pot or rice cooker, this looks like an even better deal.
Wouldn't work on my crock pot. It requires me to hit an on button to come up. If I unplug it it's off until I hit that button again. Probably work on an older model though.
