Details:
This league is just a contract league, no salaries. Players get contracts up to 4 years up to a total team cap of 52 years (subject to penalties for dropping player with 2-4 years left).
The dispersal is just a typical snake draft, there's a spreadsheet that shows the players available and their contract years remaining and the rookie picks that are available for selection too.
After the teams are formed, everyone can select two zero year players for tags that get 1 year contacts and two zero year contracts that are RFAs.
After that, we have the RFA auction where the other 11 owners can bid on your RFAs and you get to decide if you want to match the price (with blind bidding $) or pass (and get rookie $ compensation).
After that, the rookie auction is held with rookie $ (based on values assigned to the rookie picks in the rules).
After that, there is an FA auction with blind bidding $. All RFAs, rookies and FAs can get contracts assigned up to 4 years.
I know that seems like a lot, but its all very intuitive really and I'll be around to answer any ?s
