You have mental issues

You drink to the point that some have questioned whether or not you have a drinking problem (probably shouldnt be drinking at all with mental issues)

You have no job

You have no money

You live in a halfway house

...I have a serious question. Why would anyone let their daughter even date someone with the above resume, let alone let them move in with them? Im not trying to pick on you, Im dead serious. Does your girl's family have mental issues too?

She is an adult, they dont choose who she dates.

Mental illness is no reason to ostracize someone because it does not mean they are dangerous. Depression and anxiety do not make a person a threat. My gf also suffers from the same problems and they are decent people who wouldnt judge someone for that reason regardless.

Til two months ago I was training for my CDL, as well as doing a few things to get certifications related to it. I am also on SSI, so that and the training is why I didnt have a job and they know that. I wasnt sitting around.

I dont have, nor have I ever had a drinking problem. The only people who thought that was my band who didnt drink, therefor in their puny minds they think anyone who drinks is an alcoholic. I am also one of the sweetest guys in the world when I drink.

My goal is to find work in Brooklyn and save up enough money to move out of the Bronx and reside closer to her and eventually live together. It has been difficult for me to make the decision to work so far from where I currently live because I fear that the long daily commute combined with the potential of having to work overtime and weekends, thus reducing the little quality time we currently spend together, would be enough of a physical and emotional drain on me that it would quickly cause me to have another nervous breakdown. Working close to where I live now is just as unthinkable because it would make the transition to Brooklyn nearly impossible any time in the near future.
