Is this trade objectionable? And if so, which side gets the better deal?

10 team - 5x5 mixed roto league (OBP, HR, RBI, Runs, SB, K, WHIP, ERA, W, S)

Team A gets:

Jimmy Rollins

Team B gets:

Pat Burrell

Chris Young (SD)

Julio Lugo

Trade was vetoed within 30 minutes....interested in other's thoughts.

trade looks a bit more lopsided toward Rollins now. Still not objectionable.

Looks okay to me. If these kinds of trades are objected, then not much is going to go through in your league.

If I was in the league and didn't already pay my league dues and that trade got vetoed, I'd just delete my team and leave.

I've been in leagues where trades can be vetoed for any good reason. 2 years ago I think 5 out of 40 proposed trades ended up being nixed.

First off no way would I even play in a league where owners can veto trades. Trades get vetoed to often just because the trade helps both owners. As for this deal, I think advantage team A but not too the point where there should be any complaints.

In Roto league especially there seems to me more trades that appear lopsided than really are.

Most owners just look at the names involved and not how the acquired stats help the teams.

Just an update...Trade was vetoed. Both owners submitted the same trade while posting on the league message board some rationale, and it passed the second time through. FTR, I am team B.It's almost impossible to evaluate a trade unless full rosters/standings are put into context. Being that the season hasn't started yet, standings are obviously irrelevant. However, after the draft, my most glaring needs were power (particularly from OF position) and starting pitching (I drafted 4 relievers).My team already has Chone Figgins and Shane Victorino, so losing Rollins steals were not a concern at all, plus Lugo should replace at least 50% of those, so my team should still lead the league in steals.I lose a lot of power at SS position, however, my OF currently relied on the likes of:Cust####udomeWillinghamand I had Youkilis as my utility player so immediately I should see a large spike in HR's and RBI's there, while adding depth to allow me to make future trades.My SP looked like:BondermanJered WeaverTed LillyJavier VazquezJoe BlantonSo needles to say, these are not studs. Young should supply me with a great WHIP and ERA pitching at Petco, while getting adequate K's and Wins.And of course this trade isn't veto worthy. One of the perils in playing in a money league with all strangers is the difficulty in making trades/moves after the draft.

There has been very little trading activity in any Yahoo league I have ever played in because of stuff like this.
