Fitzgerald? (1 Viewer)

Cardinals coach Dennis Green said Sunday that WR Larry Fitzgerald's hamstring injury "looks like it’s going to be fairly serious."

Owners of Fitzgerald should be bracing for the pro bowl receiver to miss some time, but they should also grab slot WR Bryant Johnson as quickly as possible off the waiver wire. Johnson caught 6 passes for 82 yards Sunday and was routinely targeted once Fitzgerald left. He did drop another key pass, but fantasy owners should not hesitate to immediately plug him into starting lineups if Fitzgerald cannot play.

One more reason to draft no WRs until like the 14 round. Even then you'd do just fine waiting for Irving Dalrymple to bust out week 1. :wall:

Useless creature the Wide Receiver.

In fact why draft RB's either becaue they're always getting injured. I say wait until round 6 at least. And those pesky QB's. Can't rely on them either. So no WR's, RB's or QB's until after 5th round. You should be able to find acouple of team D/ST's and PK's to fill a few spots early in your draft. Just use the DD (defense dominator) :sarcasm:

Yeah, my best guys have been WW pickups with Cotchery and Colston. Back to Fitz. This will impact him IMO for a good while since the new AZ QB will be developing his timing without him for his down time. Once he gets back in he'll have to not only get his legs back, but get used to a QB who's goten used to 2 other guys.

That might be a problem. Not many more dependable than Boldin for a young QB to lean on.

Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald will undergo an MRI test Monday after saying that he felt his hamstring pop.

"I couldn't even straighten my leg out," Fitzgerald added. Coach Dennis Green said that the receiver's injury "looks like it's going to be fairly serious," but that sounds like it could be an understatement. Mr. Bryant Johnson welcome aboard. Fitz wasn't doing anything for me anyway. Hell, I didn't even start him today.

Any predictions on how long he'll be out when a hamstring "pops"? Is that a season ending thing cuz those hammy injuries can linger...

Fitz is simply afraid to play against the Bears defense on Monday Night Football next Monday.

Can't say I blame the guy.

I wonder if the Bears can get Denny Green going to #3 in his QB rolodex as they injure both Leinart and Warner.

Oh wait a minute... Leinart OWNED the Bears AT CHICAGO in the preseason.

oooh boy am I worried now.

well i just picked up bryant johnson up in 2 leagues. either a waste or possibly season saving.

I was thinking the same thing. If it's torn, it could be a couple of months, which possibly gets him back for the fantasy playoffs.Of course, this is all just speculation now. I'll wait for the MRI results.

WTF is your problem...you talk about the Bears in a thread about Larry Fitzgerald. You're a bears fan, we get it, but guess what, we don't care.

Bump up Boldin like crazy.
You sure about that? Leinart was locked in on Bryant Johnson quite a bit today. I'd say that Boldin's value stays the same, and Bryant Johnson is righty up there, comparable to Boldin's. Edge's value will probably rise a bit now..

you're a loser.

Worst part is that I ALMOST grabbed Johnson last week. Now he'll never make it until my waiver position. :wall:

I've experienced this. I couldn't sleep, stretch, or put "ANY" pressure on my hammy. It took 10 weeks to recover and that's with therapy. But he'll have some of the best care possible. Seeing 6-8 weeks is a possibility, if this is indeed the extent of his injury.
