Ministry of Pain

I never thought this day would come but I actually tend to lean Jackson's way based on the QB that will be under Center the rest of the way for Minnesota. Maybe Ponder couldn't be any worse but it seems like Jackson gets a lot of easy points.

I am a thrilled Fred owner in redraft but would trade him straight up for ADP. There's a certain "fragility" I'm sensing to Fred's production. Not to him as a player (health wise) but just to the factors supporting his production that all seem wonderfully aligned in Buffalo right now.

I may be biased because I'm in a PPR (Peterson isn't catching anything, and Jackson is getting a ton of targets), but I would take Jackson and it wouldn't even be close.

Last week I played against the Peterson owner when he scored three touchdowns, and Jackson still put up more points.

In a PPR league, it's Fred Jackson and it's not close. Jackson is getting 3-5 catches a game and they seem to be not just the quick dumpoff variety for a few yards.

In a nonPPR league, I would still take Fred Jackson over ADP but it would be a lot closer. MIN is a mess right now and you can guarantee 8 in the box and daring Ponder to beat them through the air. That said, Peterson is going to get 25+ carries a game I think and still will score a decent amount of TDs. But I think Jackson will have more opportunities to score and is likely going to gain more yards because of his receiving ability.

Also, with CJ Spiller being used as WR for a while, Jackson could have the potential for even more receptions, since both guys will be in the game at the same time, in passing situations.
