Flacco owners (1 Viewer)

First 4 games: NYJ, CIN, CLE, PIT

What are Flacco owners doing for 3 of those first 4 weeks? Also, for non-Flacco owners keep note of that schedule and buy low after week 4.

Im considering Orton vs Jax but Im not sure I wanna overthink things in week 1. Sure Flacco may not be an every week start em stud but he does have a # of weapons in the offense he did not have in previous years. Maybe Ill stick with him for week 1 and reevaluate afterwards.

I knew it was gonna happen but anybody else starting to look for QB help? Im not so sure hes gonna be a QB1 anymore.

Gotta hang in there.

If you're counting on Flacco as your QB1, you had to have been one of the first to grab your second QB and I hope you started him these first two weeks.

I was lucky enough to grab Cutler and I'm riding high and will be ready to toss Flacco in when the schedule lets up.

I'm not buying the hype that Flacco emerges this year as an upper-echelon QB. He looked terrible today against a Bengals defense that Tom Brady chewed up last week. He will have more favorable matchups, but 30 TDs isn't happening this season. He has 1 TD and 4 picks in the first two games.

He had 21-12 last yr and they added Boldin & TJ & Donte. I wasnt expecting 30 but I dont think 25 was a stretch.

Big Ben is my backup and our rosters are too short for me to cut anyone.

My worst player is Mike Williams TB and I'm not cutting him for a 3rd qb.

Luckily for me I hit on all my late rounders this year and I am 2-0. But I cant keep putting up crap points from the qb spot.

Is anyone cutting Flacco? I'm getting close to it. Lots of qbs on the wire...

no way. nobody good available. will probably trade a wr for a 3rd qb like orton or ryan to make due until big ben comes back

That's the same situation I am in (I also drafted Stafford, but that doesn't help). I don't know what to think.Playing @NYJ in week 1 and then @CIN in week 2 is brutal. Home teams were 12-4 in week 1. I'm not ready to dismiss Cincy as a poor defense even if Brady lit them up.If he poops the bed vs. Cleveland, I would really be worried. Definitely need to find someone for week 4 the way Pittsburgh defense is looking so far.I am definitely keeping an eye open for another QB though.

Orton is available for me, I could drop ATL D for them but I like how they mesh with PITT D for the season...i hate limited rosters

whats with all the lob passes...no zip...he looks weak...no intensity...strange watching him throw

Passed up Cutler for this guy. I was set on Cutler before the preseason, but I fell victim to all of the Flacco hype and Cutler naysaying. How did I ever think Cutler could be worse than last year and even that still would've been within the output of Flacco this year.

^ Read this Joey.

Picked up Orton for week 1, Vick for week 2. Flacco will start for me against Cleveland and then ??? for week 4? I also have Big Ben, so the second half of my season is pretty set with these 2 in QBBC. I almost convinced myself to drop Vick and roll with Flacco this week; glad I didn't, because it would've turned a win into a loss. But I missed out on Demarious Thomas to get that W; this week, I'm sure one of the Bronco homers will pick him before my waiver slot comes around.

Keep in mind that Flacco struggled against Cincy last year too. I'm not too concerned about him yet as he wasn't really expected to do well in these matchups.

That's my feeling. I still think he'll be good for 25. Brady lights everybody up.

I went back to back QBs with Kolb and Flacco in my one-keeper redraft. I think I'm great at playing the QB shuffle thing and all, however its been a crap-fest since the get go. I'm 1-1 in the league that I have both in at this point however I'm not panicked just yet. I don't like to roster three quarterbacks but for the first week, I picked up C.Palmer and then dropped him for Demarius Thomas. I did this because A)Benches are shallow and B)The next best option at QB would be a toss between Garrard and Young. With the situation as it stands right now in my case, I might start Kolb vs. Jacksonville this week and next week against San Fransisco. If he has two good weeks at that point, I'll look to flip him for another need or an upgrade. With all that said, I don't want to be quoted as having faith in Kolb, but if he can give me two consecutive solid starts, then I feel pretty good about Flacco in the near future. Kolb is a guy that most likely still has a lot of value to some people.

I'm not panicked about Flacco at all, and any one that drafted Flacco should know that week one was not a week in which you should of started him and week 2 did bode for some potential scoring for him, however if you had options, you would of been better off using that second QB you should of drafted(Unless that second QB was Kevin Kolb, lol). A game against the Patriots makes lots of defenses look porous and weak.

Lets reserve judgment for after the guy plays top passing defenses and begins to run into the weaker secondaries.

He's basically the reason I'm 0-2. Will play him next week but no way vs steelers. Problem is Cassell is my other QB. Thinking I'm gonna pick up Freeman or Sanchez...ungh.

Freeman has a bye week 4. Guess Sanchez is your man.

I have squeaked by the last two weeks - Rice and Flacco have been kind of flat. Someone else emailed me with the same dilemma - Flacco and Cassell are the bain of my existence this year so far too.Good news is Orton is on the WW and I am hoping to grab him up and drop cassel. Flacco has a rough schedule. I am holding him for now but definitely not looking to start him against the steelers.

unless I trade for a QB the option Im thinking for week 4 is Gradkowski vs a weak Hou pass def :ugh:

I made him my first qb pick and he hasn't done crap so far but i've been able to win my first 2 weeks pretty easily. Hopefully he picks it up and fast because my only 2 other options are Henne and Anderson :lmao:

If he stinks it up vs cleveland does that make him cuttable?

I'm on the fence but leaning towards the cut em side. Obviously I don't mean every league, mine is small rosters, hell Orton is out there.

I'm in the same boat as some of you.

I have Flacco and Orton for now with Big Ben for later.

Far too many slots for QBs really but I'll hang in there and see. Otherwise my team is doing ok so I'm not in a full-blown panic mode but Once Big Ben gets back I will make a decision and right now Flacco looks like the odd man out.

However, early events does seldom reflect the true value of a player. Offenses evolve as the season progresses and I would only cut Flacco if I absolutely had to. I never thought Flacco would explode but I expected stability as a decent every week performer, I expect that to be more close to the truth in a couple of weeks.

My problem is I also have Brent Celek rostered and is now more or less given the choice of trying to upgrade at TE or keeping Flacco. I'm staying put for now and hope to be rewarded later.

In a one qb league, I'd start him vs cle but he needs to show something. He is still a young, maturing qb but he has shown the ability and the team has weapons.

Because of that, he may be a great buy low in two QB leagues as you may get him for little value with #1qb upside.
