Flaming Lips Cover Dark Side Of The Moon (1 Viewer)

Caught this over the weekend on Palladia, and really enjoyed it. (can see here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ej9T3KrwYW0 - DSOTM starts at around the 42 minute mark).

Much more faithful to the album than, say, the EasyStar All-Stars Dub Side Of The Moon (which is also great), but definitely the Lips' own spin.

Late to the game on the band, but I need to go back and hear more of their stuff - very interesting and eclectcic group.

Saw this live a couple times and loved it.

Highly recommend starting with In a Priest Driven Ambulance for a taste of the Ronald era (their best era IMO), then the Soft Bulletin for the 2.0 stuff. Phenomenal band.

Thanks - so far I've corralled Clouds Taste Metallic, Soft Bulletin, Transmissions From The Satellite Heart and Yoshi.

Will check out In A Priest next.

When VH1 honored The Who in 2008, The Flaming Lips performed a live medley of songs from "Tommy". Kicked serious ###.

long time fan of the flaming lips but i was highly disappointed by the live act last year when they opened for the black keys. i expected so much more.

as for dark side of the moon, check out phish's live version from 11/2/98. it shouldn't be hard to find on the webs.
