Forte vs Ricky Williams (1 Viewer)

Both are moving up draft boards and are around the same ADP. So, bottom line, who has the most value/upside/potential?

I think Ricky has more risk and more reward. Forte is likely to be a consistent RB from week to week getting you 80 yards and an occasional TD. I think Ricky will either end up as a Top 10 RB, or will flame and burn (pun intended).

You do know that he has been medicaly treating his social anxiety disorder, rather than self medicating it as you describe.Then again, you do live in central PA.

Actually, even though totally different sitauations, I think you could also inclue DA Williams into this group too...

IMO, the problem w/ Forte is there is little upside I would think. I mean, he is the defacto RB1 in Chicago, but that O-Line is going to ge REALLY bad this year. And they're KJ, if he's healthy.

Ricky, well, 3 years removed from being an NFL player...and what if Ronnie Brown is actually healthy?

DA Williams has a TON of upside...as an Oregon homer, I think that JStew and Adrian Peterson could be in the same breath, with AP slightly ahead, but his durability at Oregon was always a ???. That said, God forbid anything happen to JStew, but if so, DA Williams becomes a MOSTER RB in Carolina.

Doesn't mean he can't mess it up all over again. He's been given plenty of second chances.and coming from someone who lives in Atlanta, your last comment means very little to me.

Lets not forget that, if healthy, Kevin Jones could cut into Forte's playing time, especially if the rookie cant pass block effectively. Williams does also play on a slightly better offense. Ill take Pennington over Orton at QB any day, so in theory Miami should have fewer 8 in the box defenses to face this year. I give my nod to Williams in redraft.

Williams is probably going to have the better year, Forte has a god awful offensive line to block for him, but will Forte be kicked out of the league at the end of the year? Probably not, although I don't think Ricky will either but the risk is much greater with him.

Ricky will be a home run for people this year based on what he'll produced compared to where he can be had in drafts. Frankly, I think he actually has a 2 or 3 year streak left in him. Yes, he's a little older now but has a lot less wear and tear on him then many other RBs. For example, he has ~800 fewer touches over his career then LT2. If, as his agent said, his yoga and meditation and such have helped him remain fit then I think he could be a top-20 guy EASILY for the next couple of years. And in the event Brown moves on or is hurt or simply sent to the bench, Ricky could blow up. You know Parcells is going to dictate a run-heavy offense and it's easy to forget that prior to his retirement, RIcky was one of the top 3 or 4 players in the league. He is extremely effective around the goalline, can catch very well, and has great speed (or at least he used to could do all those things).
