Fournette vs Devonta (1 Viewer)

Find myself able to choose from both in many mock drafts.  Who'd you prefer for this season and why?

Thanks

Presumably standard as Freeman is a no brainer in half or full PPR. Fournette is super inefficient but, hey, volume. Could fall into the end zone a lot. Freeman could see a lot of work as well with Coleman gone.

Both have a lengthy injury history.

Leonard has always struggled with ankle issues going back to college, though last year it was a grade 2 hamstring (multiple times.) Year before - foot, ankle, quad. Missed 6 games in 2016 with a high ankle sprain.

Freeman missed most of his games last year due to sports hernia, also bone bruise in his foot   and started off the year with a knee bruise. 2017 sprained MCL & PCL plus two concussions. Relatively pain free 2016, played through a hip pointer. Rookie year missed all of preseason with a hammy & later sustained a concussion.

Keep drafting RBs, you’ll need ‘em.

In my full PPR draft Freeman went a half round ahead of Fournette, in my 0.5 PPR draft Fournette went a half round ahead of Freeman. I like Freeman more personally, though ended up with each of them across the 2 leagues I already drafted for,  just due to my (terrible) mid round picking spot for each.

Mid-round is the hardest spot this year IME. I have the 10th spot in my long team league, which I can make work. Either end you can control/foresee what positions offer the best value with the next two picks. From the middle every pick is a slog guessing what might make it back to you.

I say this year because it’s a really tough first round choice, and if you guess wrong the cupboards bare.

Make or break season for Leonard....sounds like he's more focused and maybe in better condition....better QB.....he burned me last year though so I'm bitter

Freeman is on a better team with a better offense and Tevin is gone.....gets dinged up

I like Freeman better, but I have a feeling I will pass on Fournette, and he will score a pile of TD's.......wouldn't surprise me

Freeman , by a wide margin.

both have injuries in the past, but for me it comes down the OC. J. DeFilippo was fired from the Vikings because he was not RB-friendly with his play calling, and pretty much the reason why I think you're going to see the Jags be more of a pass-happy offense now with Foles, and less of a run-based offense.

Freeman has had quite a lot of success in Atl, and now that Coleman is gone he's only going to get more chances. Ito Smith isn't stealing work from anyone. The offense is light years ahead of the Jags in terms of supporting cast , better WRs, etc.

if they're both tied because of injuries I'm going with the guy on the way more explosive offense with WRs that can keep a defense honest. and I'm just not willing to trust that the Jags of 2018 aren't the 'real' Jags and the 2017 version was just a mirage.

I too drafted fournette last season and for me I'm once bitten twice shy. never again with that guy.
