I haven't seen any stuff on Gore in a little. I need some good news in light of the LJ nightmare.

Please post all recent updates here? Thanks.

You want good news? So do I.

From KFFL:

49ers | Gore should play Week 10

Mon, 5 Nov 2007 18:36:51 -0800

Matt Maiocco, of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, reports San Francisco 49ers RB Frank Gore (ankle) missed the team's Week 9 game so he would be rested and ready to play Week 10.

I'd still pick up Robinson, though.

As a Gore owner who wasn't able to pick up Robinson or Hicks, I'm hoping this will be resolved before Monday night.

that is great news.

Just as in the Kansas City situation, regardless of the RB it's still not doing much in the rushing dept. Kansas averaging 70 yds per game. Gore (a beast) was only averaging 63 yds per game.

Bottom line is............IT'S STILL THE 49ers!

were they still the 49ers last season or were they called something else? Seems to me I read somewhere Frank Gore had a great season last year for the 49ers? :goodposting:

Not only does Norv increase a RB's value when he arrives (well other than LT), but he also can turn a total bust of a QB into a servicable QB. Now Smith is back to himself. Horrible.

As a Gore dynasty owner, I am looking forward to this scenario:

1. SD stinks, and if they make the playoffs, they will not win one game.

2. SD management realizes they were idiotic to let Schottenheimer

go so late leaving no viable replacement - Turner is fired.

3. SF calls Turner five seconds later and offers Turner a fat coordinator contract.

I own Gore in a keeper and am struggling with the realization of dealing him. Been offered Chatman/Plax for Gore/Marvin.

I think it may be time, and chatman runs hard and as bad as miami blows they can run the ball.

Gore just lost a LT, and is injured...it's depressing.

In a keeper league you would be certifiably crazy to do this deal

We keep 2 guys next year, and my 2 guys are locked up as LT and Palmer, barring injury. My only hesitation is Gore and some possible trade value for a draft pick...but I want to win this year. plax would be replacing Marvin, and Chatman/Fargas as my RB2.

Nov 7 Matt Maiocco, of The Santa Rosa Press Democrat, reports San Francisco 49ers RB Frank Gore (ankle) is expected to limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 8, and may be available to play Week 10.

What are people thinking for this guy next year?

Thinking of making an offer for this guy but Im just not sure what his value for next year and beyond is. Love his style of running, very talented, but not so sure there is much hope for the San Fran offense.

Frank Gore (ankle) was limited in 49ers practice Thursday. This was expected, but Gore is coming off a week to rest, so if he doesn't practice without restrictions on Friday his status will be considered uncertain for a Monday night game against Seattle. The 49ers only say they are "hopeful" Gore can face the 'Hawks. If not, Michael Robinson will start. Nov. 8 - 6:09 pm et
 I really wish this game wasnt on a Monday

Uh, have you watched a San Fran game this year?! Have you followed how little FF points Gore and/or ANY 49ers player have been putting up this year?! They're horrible man. This is not the same team from last year on which Gore produced great FF numbers. Goodjob trying to be a smartass and coming off looking clueless. :football:
Vernon Davis is putting together a decent string of games. I would definetly roll with him right now. BTW - lay off the meth. Its not healthy to get so angry over somthing so stupid.

I think Gore's outlook is encouraging for next year:- You have to think that the 49ers will upgrade their WR corps next year. This helps back defenses away from the line of scrimmage.- Even if Norv Turner miraculously retains his head coaching job and doesn't return to SF, there's no way the organization will retain their offensive coordinator. Since Gore performance has been miserable this year, there are certainly going to be some owners looking to dump him. Ultimately, Gore is still a fantastic RB. This fact bodes well for his future success.

As a Gore owner and a huge 49er fan, I'm looking forward to that as well..

At the very least, we can all assume there's no way that the 49er executives are happy with this offense. York has been willing to spend money in the free agent market of late. So I think we will certainly see some new WR talent and a new offensive coordinator.

Gore was dressed today for practice, but was limited to only taking part in individual drills. Was a complete non-participant in team drills, opting to spend that time on hands excercises with RB Coach Bishop Harris. Seemed as though he was in good spirits and did not appear to be in much or any pain. I'm guessing that his sitting practice out is more precautionary than anything. Still too early to decide whether he is a go on Monday Night, but I think he will start. If he can run or cut at all, he will probably go, as the Offensive staff is currently coaching for they're respective jobs. Ultimatley, I believe that it will be field condition and weather that influences Coach Nolan's final decision. Cheers !

Kevin Barlow could have gave us this production..maybe more.

You didn't really just say that you'd rather have Barlow on this team than Gore, did you?

Wow GREAT posting man. Thanks for the inside scoop!

For those of us who own Gore, if Gore sits again, who will get the most carries? Hicks is his backup and scored last week, but Robinson seemed to be the primary back. Any homers chime in on this? I'd like to be prepared to make a last minute change Monday night.

Frank Gore is "expected to be available" for Monday's game against the Seahawks.

This is according to the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, although we've heard nothing that strong from the 49ers. Keep an eye on his practice availability the next two days. We'd only consider keeping a spot open for Gore if you own one of his backups. Nov. 9 - 1:54 pm et

Gore was once again limited to only individual drills, not participating in any team related excercises. There was not noticable taping around his ankle, but unlike yesterday where I mentioned he seemed to not be showing any signs of discomfort, he clearly was bothered by it today. I am actually going to back pedal on this one a little bit on this one, as he was obviously in pain. That, and the fact that Hicks and Robinson commanded slightly more attention from the coaching staff then they would usually recieve tells me that he might not go. On what would usually be a Thursday practice, this is the day Nolan likes to finalize his game plans. Coach was not there today and the early word was that he had flown back to Texas, his fathers health possibly taking a turn for the worse. Back to Gore, I would once again pay more attention to Monday nights weather report than any injury reports. There will be a walk through tomorrow, but that wont tell much about his status. Cheers!!

Last week Robsinson got more carries but did less with them so, just looking at the numbers, I would think this week they would feed Hicks the ball more this week. I haven't seen any of the games though and don't have a good feel for how they are being used. Anyone :goodposting:

That was one week, if I had to pick one I would take Robinson, he seems to be the bigger stronger RB.

Running back Frank Gore (ankle), cornerback Walt Harris (knee), tackle Kwame Harris (back) and safety Keith Lewis (hamstring) all saw practice time and are expected to play Monday evening.

Gore sustained a right ankle sprain Oct. 21 against the Giants. He aggravated the injury the following game against the Saints, and sat out last week's game against the Falcons. When asked if he expects Gore to play, Singletary answered, "Sure."

Singletary added, "He (Gore) looked great. He made some great cuts. It's great to have him out here. He's doing fantastic."

I just saw this myself and came to post it.I really want to play him and feel he could have a good game on Monday night, but I don't think i have the balls to do it.

I'll probably stick with Edge and Lendale, but it's soooooooo tempting.

translation of the coach speak: Gore looks fantastic. Best we've seen him all season. He'll get at least 8 touches this time while we continue to allow Alex Smith to pass 30+ times a game.

I'd like to add: 'And we will continue to take him out on 3rd downs, never even imagining that it might be a good idea to throw him a pass in that situation like they did last year.'
