surprised theres been little to no discussion of the FA TEs in this off-seasonTony Gonzalez - most likely retiring and if not retiring will return to AtlFred Davis - most talented in the group before his injury, will need to rush rehad and play on a 1 yr 'prove it' contract; but who will he being playing for. As we have been learning, achilles injuries aren't as devastating as they once were but will most likely not be 100% though 2013 Dustin Keller - talent and health wise, probably best TE on the market and best bet to switch teams. Unless tagged and I doubt NY has the money to do it hes skipping town Jared Cook - a disappointment so far but will Tenn isn't going to let him walkMartellus Bennett - was a beast before getting hurt and playing at less than 100%, NYG will surely bring him back; only 25 yrs oldBrandon Myers - came out of no where but tape will show that his production came during garbage time; but still showed great hands but little after the catch ability. Oak will be foolish to let him leave but then again its Oak so you never know.James Casey - Hou already has his replacement in Graham and another team is going to pick him as a TE/B hybrid

One of these guys likely going to Cleveland, I'd bet on Keller...not sure how I feel about that.Really want to see what Casey can do outside of Houston...

Always felt like Keller was overrated. I'm open to revising my opinion on him, but isn't he just a small TE who can't block? Thought of him as a WR who was too slow for the position, so he plays TE. I'll be the first to admit this is a rather uneducated opinion, as I've never been motivated to learn much about him since I had no faith in his QB. He's always been invisible to me on ADPs.I like Bennett and Casey on that list. Bennett started strong and then tapered off drastically. How bad was the injury? I thought it was just minor. Figured with Nicks perpetually dinged up that he'd have a chance to really shine, but it didn't happen. If the injury really was what was holding him back, I'd really like to see him back in NY. Casey was underutilized in Houston. Really well rounded athlete. Could shine if he lands somewhere that will make him their unquestioned TE1.

Fair assessment of Keller....also he gets hurt all the time and rarely plays unless he's 100% - I'm a Jet fan and even without a decent replacement I'm ok with them letting him go.

Keller is an interesting one. It always seemed like Sanchez was holding him back to me.Jared Cook has all the tools to be a great recieving tight end, but still has yet to but it together. I'd like to see him in Miami if the price is right.

They have no choice but to let him go.Keller's 6'2" 250 - he's not that small. He's not a great blocker but is adequate. He has nice speed, runs smart routes and has good hands - scheme and his QB have kept his stats down but he has talent.Favre loved him when he was with the Jets, remarking how he wished he has that kid for his whole career. In the right situation he can be productive but he' not on the Gronkowski, Hernandez, Graham level. He could be on the Greschem-Pitta level though.

Bears need one of these guys.
whole hardly agree, anybody would be an upgrade over KDavis; but they might go though the draft instead

Keller's blocking is adequate, teams that look to sign him will be focusing on his catching ability. Hard to claim he doesn't play injuried when this was the 1st season out 5 hes ever missed games. I also think he can do better on a different team.
I believe Delanie Walker is a FA.
yes, but I bet he'll be re-signed by the 9ers

What do you think is going to happen with Watson (I own him in a very deep league).
Cameron down?
Anthony Fasano
Fins are going to explore replacing him with a pass catching TE, they tired in the draft last yr with Engrew and that didn't workout; wouldn't be surprised if their the ones to nab Kelleralso, notable RFAsPitta and Dickson (Rookie contracts expire); should be interesting off-season for BaltDavid Nelson (Buff needs an upgrade but I bet they stick w/ him)rumored to be released this season (but I highly doubt it)FinleyTeams that need TEs or could stand or an upgradeBuff (Nelson)NYJ (Keller is walking unless hes gets paid big time, and the new GM isn't making that mistake)Mia (needs a whole new receiving core)Cle (new management will most likely go w Cameron)Oak (should resign Myers, but you never know)NYG (almost certain they keep Bennett)Was (FDavis injuried and Paulson is not a starting TE, either bring back Davis or buy Keller)Chi (KDavis is awful as a starter)Atl (Gonzo retiring but this team rarely makes FA moves, however they have a lot of draft needs. I think Keller will price himself out of Atl and they may go with one of the cheaper options)TB (Clark is done, is Stocker ready? Another team that will most likely go though the draft instead of FA)Zona (Housler looked ready and management claims hes ready; and even with all the needs everywhere else I wouldn't be surprised if they go after Keller so new management can make the big splash)

Plan b if we don't get a free agent. Doubt anyone signs him until at least April, likely later.
What, no Jordan Cameron?
Relying on him and him alone would be careless. Whether the browns bring in a starter or a stopgap will go a long ways towards indicating how the front office sees him. If they bring in a stopgap i expect a draft pick too. Late day two or early day three.

Huh? He had never missed a game until this season. 4 straight 16 game seasons until this year. TE's the past few years have in general been a very injury riddled spot to the degree I feel like Kellers durability is a positive.

A few comments on this list. You left off Pittsburgh who might be in the market dependent on where Heath Miller is in his ACL recovery.Buf- Similar to Pittsburgh really. Chandler is not Heath Miller but solid but probably a need with his ACL.NYJ-It's assumed Keller is gone and he wants out and the Jets are in a cap mess so it probably happens. On the other hand franchise tags for TE's are not high and Shurmur's offenses in Cleveland the last two seasons finished 5th in the NFL in TE targets and that's without a TE as good as Keller. So it's a position he seems to utilize.CLE-don't see why new management would go with Cameron. Why? They did not pick or try to develop him. I think he makes the team but he's not really shown anything up to this point either. Very up in the air for him in terms of playing time.OAK- new system and a little over the cap so Myers will have to be cheap, which I think he will be so I'd peg him for staying.NYG-not so certain on Bennett. I'm more like 60-40 he's gone. As we see lot's of teams need a TE and he improved his stock. He's a UFA and the Giants just spent last year developing their TE of the future, which might be now. Marty B is going to cost more than the Giants got him for last year and want multiple years this time and I'm not certain the Giants will want to go there.Was- you would think this is the perfect place for Fred to sign a one year deal and pick his stock back up. Keller seems like a good fit but if Casey is familiar with system.Arizona- Keller makes no sense for them at all, none. I've actually always thought Housler was a taller/faster Keller and we know the GM is high on him. King is back to handle blocking duties and Arians offenses are extremely WR heavy. If they bring in a TE at all it's a blocking type.

The Jets didn't hire Schurmer. Morningweig is the new OC.I don't think the Jets could even afford to bring back Keller even if the tag for TE's is low. They are in really bad cap shape for 2013. $20 MM over with only 11 starters from last season under contract.

Gotta expect Watson to be sent packing. He was in the way of Cameron's development. A soild reason to fire the previous regime. Watson had zero upside, the team wasn't going to make the playoffs. Right now they don't have any idea if Cameron is starter material because they wasted so much time with Watson.

good point about Pitt, Miller will most likely be ready to play next season but will def be at less than 100%. Pitt will address this in the draft, they never bring in FAs; I can't even remember when was the last time they signed a skill position FA.

Yea that's some bad intel on my part. Get's hard to keep up with some times. A few days ago I was pondering Ryan Mathews value and could not remember who they hired as the head coach. Took me over an hour to finally remember. Anyway and good catch and I'd say Keller is as good as gone.

Personally, I'll be watching Cook. I unfortunately had him this year and they played him around half the snaps so his numbers sucked. I think with all the WRs, he got lost and they ignored him. He had some solid games to start the year and finish before he got hurt, so I think he seemed better with Locker.I remember watching one game where he made 2 or 3 real nice early catches showing how much of a mismatch he was and the announcers even said they need to get him the ball. He may have gotten one more reception the rest of the game. Then again, this was the same OC that did more to get Locker in space to run the ball against the Jets than Chris Johnson. Yes, I unfortunately had to watch the Jets/Titans game due to FF implications and the Titans won due to CJ's 1 run and their D.I liken Cook to Finley in terms of ability to make nice plays, but I don't recall him being as much of a head case calling out his QB (or doing so through his agent) or dropping a zillion passes. Cook's production was tied more to non-use. If he goes to a system where he gets used, he could be a guy who comes out of nowhere and finishes top 5.

As a Jets fan, I ditto your thoughts...they could get Casey for a fraction of the cost it would take to keep Keller...but in reality, Cumberland, with a healthy Holmes, ascending Kerley and hopefully healthy/improving Hill could get some nice space to do some damage. It would not surprise me in the least if he put up "keller numbers" in 2013.

It's possible he leaves. He's offered to give the Giants a hometown discount, but I can't put much faith in that. I've been reading that the Giants are 5-9 million over the cap currently. The big thing will be if teams throw a big contract at him. Ultimately I don't think another team will offer him a huge contract. The concerns about Bennett has been more about his head and motivation than athletic ability. Are potential suitors willing to gamble that all it takes for him to be happy is to make him a starter? Seems like too much of a gamble to offer him a big contract. He played pretty good, but it's not like he dominated. I don't see teams taking a shot at him when his level of production can be gotten from players that are less of a head case.I think he stays in NY if the money demands aren't out of what the Giants can pay.

I think the past staff did have a pretty good idea which is why they kept Watson. Maybe the new staff can get more out of him, but I suspect he'll never be more than a TE2.

Jared Cook to the Rams makes sense to me. He is a guy who Fisher drafted in the third round of 2009. While Cook has been somewhat of a disappointment thus far, the impression seems to be that his main problem has been coaching and under-utilization. The 6'5'' 250 pounder would provide much needed improvement on offense for the Rams and I would imagine that he and Fisher might just enjoy a reunion. The Rams are not in a position of great luxury to spend big bucks in free agency this year. They do have some room though and COULD make it work moneywise but will just have to prioritize what they do overall. It's a deal I would be happy about and not surprised at all to see happen. The Titans are saying that resigning him is a "priority". Cook has expressed displeasure with his use in the offense, was miffed at the firing of the TE coach, and is looking for "assurances" that things improve for him to resign. It's getting just a little testy in Tennessee. I read today on Rotoworld.com that the Titans "fully expect" to franchise him. So, who knows how this will play out but it's one situation I'm keeping an eye on this offseason.

Franchise him? Really? With articles (not much chance to watch the Titans outside of TN) about how he was only in on 50% of the snaps and watching announcers say how he should be used more in that Monday night game, I have no idea why he would be a guy they would franchise. I can't imagine he would be getting a lot of FA play that he would be expensive to resign. With Britt one more year healthy and Wright and Washington, I would rather have Cook sign elsewhere. I think he could be a very good TE, but unless the TE tag is so low that it isn't expensive and they have no one else to worry about, I can't see the Titans spending franchise money on a guy they barely used.

That's part of what probably led to the firing of Chris Palmer. His offenses have historically failed to utilize the TE and Palmer failed to adjust his offense to fit his talent. The game after Palmer got fired Cook got a career high 12 target which I don't chalk up to being a coincidence. His usage was on a much lower pace the next week but he got knocked out of that game and never returned. The key here is the guy who replaced Palmer, Dowell Loggins, is the same guy who dialed up 12 passes for Cook in their only full game together. As for the money the Titans have it, they are currently close to $20 million under the cap and the franchise amount for TE's should be somewhere between $5-6 million.

Plus they hired George Henshaw who was the Titans TE coach when Frank Wycheck was a household name. Actually from 1997-2005 when Henshaw was coaching in Nashville Titans TEs caught 845 passes, the most for TEs on any team in that timespan. Granted the Titans WRs left something to be desired in those days, but towards the end at least Mason was definitely getting his targets.

I don't understand why there has been so little talk/activity with D.Keller? Certainly he's a better option than J.Cook or D.Walker.

Even though Gonzo is coming back I would be thrilled to see ATL sign Keller for the future.

Agreed, Keller IMO is going to be a great bargain signing for whatever team that picks him up.

Tony Gonzalez (Signed two-year, $14M deal with ATL)

**No surprise

Jared Cook (Signed five-year, $35.11M deal with STL)

**Should get his chance to shine now

Martellus Bennett (Signed four-year, $20.4M deal with CHI)

**I think he lose value, even when Jay had Olsen he didn't use him much.

Dustin Keller (Signed one-year, $4.25M deal with MIA)

**This could be huge, instant upgrade

Fred Davis, looking like hes going back to Wash but the Browns have been involved

Brandon Myers, does anyone know hes an FA

James Casey (Signed three-year, $14.5M deal with PHI)

**very interesting play here, should be picked up ASAP

Dallas Clark, Tampa didn't make a move that I know of for TEs but not like anyone is going to sign Clark away. Are they rolling with Stocker?

Ben Watson, will be signed before pre-season

Anthony Fasano (Signed four-year, $16M deal with KC)

**6th lineman, little FF value here but takes away from Moeaki a bit

Delanie Walker (Signed four-year, $17.5M deal with TEN)

**Kind of takes away from his sleeper status

Cook got paid like they are gonna feed him the ball whether he likes it or not. Could be real good for him to be on a team that actually will throw to him.

Keller, hard to gauge. He is a very good player. Playing with other good players should help. Tannehill is better than Sanchez. He was already scoring as a low TE-1, I don't see why he cant keep that up.

Gonzo, top 5 again.

Fred Davis, who knows this year, depends on health

Myers, surprised he isnt signed yet

(KFFL)The New York Giants are scheduled to meet with free-agent TE Brandon Myers (Raiders) Saturday, March 16.
(Rotoworld)Free agent TE Brandon Myers will visit the Giants on Saturday.Analysis: Myers and Fred Davis are the two best free-agent tight ends left on the market, and Myers doesn't have any question marks regarding his health. This will be his first visit of free agency after having a breakout season with the Raiders last season that saw Myers reel in 79 passes for 806 yards and four touchdowns. The Giants aren't ready to hand the reins over to second-year TE Adrien Robinson.

Philly signs Casey and drafts Ertz

Washington gets Davis for a yr and drafts Reed

KC drafts Kelce who could be great

Dallas takes Witten's in the 2nd (Escobar)

SF loses Walker w/ McDonald (2nd Round)

Anyone with any new thoughts on Ladarius Green? Gotta decide whether to hold onto him in a dynasty with very limited roster spots. Gates old and injured, and they didn't draft another TE early. Anyone?
