Anyone have any news on these guys? I heard that it's possible Jeremiah Trotter may be a cap casuality or injury risk with his knees. Also, I heard on NFL on Sirius that Odell Thurman was supposed to have his reinstatement hearing this week. So obviously I'm waiting and watching.

Good question. Nobody knows for sure, but I personally don't see how Thurman doesn't start somewhere if he gets a legitimate chance to compete. They like Brooks, so I think WLB might be his best chance. This is just speculating out loud right now. Thurman could be a top 10 LB at either MLB or WLB. He is a talent. I think Trotter plays as long as his knee is ok.

Even if Trotter is the starter, I don't think he's going to play all of that much. He'll be removed on 3rd down and passing downs.

I watched the replay yesterday of the Eagles-Saints playoff games and there were numerous times that the Saints tried to isolate a TE or RB against Trotter on a pass.

Just my personal feeling, but I think Gaither works his way into increased playing time and perhaps a starting job at MLB by year's end.

I won't disagree with that. He could also end up starting outside before the season starts depending on how everyone plays in TC.Something to watch for sure. Even though he seems like the odd man out he will get PT in the nickle D.
