I made it through one iteration of the game. Don't feel bad, though. I ordered a book about Trust (it's an important political and emotional concept to me) by Francis Fukuyama a year ago or so, and it's still sitting on my shelf, unopened. Guess I just take it all for granted.

Plus, that's what remedies/damages in contracts are for.

My teaching load is set until March but I’m hoping that I’ll be allowed to teach a Game Theory class in the spring term. It’s a super fun class to teach and has incredible applications. It’s what we should be teaching in math classes across this country.

My hope is that this lesson is becoming universal. Like, pretty soon, the 12th monkey is going to learn this lesson and it will enter the Universal subconscious and lead to a quantum leap in human relations across the globe.

My hope is that all of the mental/emotional/psychological effluvia that seems today so everpresent in media, social media, politics, etc. is the rotting corpse of an outdated mode of human interaction based on fear and mistrust.

my hope is that the human species comes to realize the Golden Rule isn't just a cool idea, but the true secret to sustainable success for the individual and the collective.
