Game Thread - Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns (1 Viewer)

If Pitt drops 5 straight including KC, Oak & Cle I'm gonna have to wear a  the rest of the year. The weather should take some heat off of Pitt's leaky secondary.

Word from the pre-game is that the field has excellent footing, so Ward will suit up and play.

No trace of snow, but it is frigid and the wind will be there, which will likely affect both the kicking game and the deep pass.

IMHO - that greatly affects Massaquoi and Wallace. I'd bench both kickers but Santonio Holmes and Heath Miller are respectable starting fantasy players.

Good luck.

Did they say how strong the wind was right now?M

I notice you didn't mention Ward :goodposting:

Was wondering the same thing? It's Ward tonight or Crabtree on monday.Would think that if he can make it through the whole game, he could be in for a big night. IMO Big Ben will be working the short passing game in these conditions.Would deffinently like to know what Pasquino thinks.

Yeah he did. But if you're wondering about Ward's effectiveness (barring hammy injuries) he's their possession guy so he gets looks all over the field, lots of targets which usually means good yardage.Personally I am too scared of the hammy to bother with it, myself.

I have the same decision to make. Going with Crabtree. Can't risk Ward's hammy in freezing temps the first round of the playoffs.

you gotta go with ward....i am debating ward....devin thomas and bess......ward it is....and this is a td heavy league...gotta go with the old vet

Try deciding between Ward and Schillens or Earl Bennett.

I want to start Ward so bad but I don't trust the hammy or the wind. If Ward hadn't opened his mouth would he be anywhere near the field tonight? I don't know.

(*Disclaimer - I am starting Ward because I have no other options)

Is it possible that the injury is not as severe and was somewhat fabricated so that Ward could say that he played through the pain. Wishful thinking I hope!

OK Steeler fans. Remember that game against Chicago in 2005? That was in bad weather too. And it was the start of a classic run. Let's go!!

pulled out Ward last minute...too many things going against him....weather, injury, playing away...

please chambers....please.

how bad is the weather? I got Big Ben and Matt Ryan who probably wont play...either them or pickup a Campbell or Hasselbeck...yuck, in the playoffs no way I trust Campbell...and Hass has been bad...roll with Ben I suppose, right?
