1-10 OAK41 (9:46) J.Kitna pass deep right to M.Furrey to OAK 25 for 16 yards. PENALTY on DET, Offensive Pass Interference, 10 yards, enforced at OAK 41 - No Play.

1-10 DET33 (10:27) (Shotgun) J.Kitna pass deep right to C.Johnson to OAK 41 for 26 yards (S.Schweigert).

1-10 DET1 (10:53) J.Kitna pass short left to S.McHugh to DET 33 for 32 yards (K.Morrison).

Look at that #1 pass D go..... :bag:

And to think we got that guy in the 3rd round. He might make the Pro Bowl this year.
Fargas gets the handoff, the wind slightly changes direction and makes the tackle.
I think Fargas might have the worst vision of any NFL RB I've ever seen. I've never seen anyone so unwilling/unable to change direction. I don't care what the play call is, Fargas's strategy is: run forward, lower head.

Impressive run by Bell followed by Kitna scrambling out and finding Roy wide open.

TD Lions -- and first TD in a 4:15 game :(

Curry shaken up after the last catch.

I think he'll be ok, but I'll keep you updated.

And yes, Porter's out there. Just not being thrown to, for whatever reason.

As a Lions fan I am hesitant to get excited about our defense - we look great but is it us being better or the raiders sucking?

Just a note: Curry's back in, though that's probably obvious, since he caught a ball.

With 8 seconds left, Janikowksi tries a career-long 57 yarder... do I need to tell you the result?

10-0 Lions at the half.

Thoughts:

Kitna's looked generally sharp, and obviously distributed the ball well.

6 runs to 22 passes -- same ol' Martz, at least for the first half. Mostly 3 & 4 WR sets.

McCown's got a good completion percentage, but seems to be looking for the RBs & TEs.

Either the Lions secondary has him confused, or else it's rust. Maybe both. No idea if Culpepper will play.

Before you run Janikowski out of town, remember that his shortest attempt was 46 yards.

Still, you have to wonder if Oakland won't be on the phone with some FA kickers...

Detroit's D needs to concentrate more on just tackling vs. trying to strip the ball. They have given up 2 or 3 more yards the last few runs trying to strip the ball from Jordan.

After Jordan briefly looked unstoppable, McCown throws to Porter then throws an INT.

It looked like he slipped on the field, and the D made a good play tipping then catching the ball.
