Game Thread W1 - Houston V Pittsburgh (1 Viewer)

Steelers OLine looking very good in this game, which is a little surprising, given the loss of Faneca. If this keeps up, though, I think those people who drafted Parker are going to be pretty happy this year...

I pretty much saw this coming with FWP once Mendenhall started dropping balls...good for my steelers, but for my fantasy team

OLine is looking GREAT on run blocking

Especially Marvel and Kemoeatu

Pass blocking still a little shaky, but I guess thats gonna happen when Mario Williams is on the other side

Darn shoulda went after Meldenhall, what with him splitting with Parker and taking over by Game 8 etc :(

Damnnnn

F Dub P

Looks like he could have a year like everyone was expecting last year, not that his yardage was bad but his YPC were down

...Hines TD

Time for Benny to make his way to the bench

The Steelers started off this way last year, too. Hopefully this time they can keep it up.
Big reason for the tail off last year was that guy who was being looked at on the field - Ryan Clark - being out for the yearPlus Aaron Smith got hurt, Polamalu, then Parkerthats why they tailed off...thats a lot of talent not playing

Aaaron Smith was probably the single biggest reason IMO. That D is not the same without him.

what happened to big ben? is leftwich in because of the score or an injury?

Id call them 1A and 1BHaving Clark out and Anthony Smith in instead was pretty brutal...He got about as consistently burned deep as anyone Ive ever seen

He did have his knee tweaked a little just before the first half ended but he looked OK playing in the 3rd quarter. It was mostly due to the score and the opportunity to get Leftwich some playing time.
