Game Thread W1 - Kansas City V New England (1 Viewer)

Obviously the one and only story is Brady. I could see him playing next week or being done for the year. It didn't look pretty at all but he did walk off under his own power although it was gingerly.

Other observations:

*The D (outside of one huge mistake) looked solid. They did a good job against the run.

*Vrabel looks like he's already in mid-season form.

*Cassell played much better than I expected. I have no issues with his performance.

*It's going to be RBBC in Foxboro. Morris looked good and got plenty of playing time. Maroney looked like Maroney (i.e. good but nothing special) and Jordan was pretty much MIA (and that was with Faulk not playing).

*Jamaal Charles looks like he can play. He's got some zip.

*KC is going to have a long year but they should not be concerned about their record. If they play like they did today and develop their youngsters they will be headed in the right direction.

Pats can't cover Tony GI haven't even noticed who is playing opposite Bowe almost like why bother putting a WR inI liked O'Connell better than Cassell in preseason. Cassell looks OK though
I'm wishing I never would have read anything indicating that the Pats were not happy with Cassell. That information caused me to drop him.
I think you'll hear about O'Connell this week. Always the safe way to go with the vet and Cassell looked good today so...I'm not saying O'Connell will start. It's Cassell's show now(assuming Brady is out). All I'm saying is this rook was all but forgotten once the Pats drafted him and he looked real good at times. I am more intrigued by him than several starting QBs in the NFL.

I expect Cassel to start and a heavy dose of Maroney/Morris/Jordandon't even think they'll consider O'Connell

me too, absolutelyjust said people may finally hear about him again for what seems like the first time since April

Surprised no one is talking about KC after this game.....they were 5 yards away from taking NE to OT and even with Brady in they were +2 in TO.

I have literally never felt this good after a Chiefs loss. Would I have loved for Devard Darling to get through that last tackle? Sure, but what I saw today gave me A LOT of hope for the rest of this season and the toughness of this team. And Huard starting for awhile will only help.

I have to think if Brady does not go down that KC would be a huge story after all the "experts" were writing this off as a NE win all offseason.

Several of the KC rookies looked VERY good, mainly the two 1st rounders.

Herm Edwards tempers my enthusiasm. Clark Hunt needs to grow a sack and fire him, Carl and all the cronies, and then bring in a completely new front office to hire a young, bright, aggressive coach, who will be rewarded with a top-five pick to spend on a franchise QB. That said, Branden Albert was pretty much awesome.

I just listened to about 10 minutes on the radio, and from what I heard-

Bowe played like #### dropping several passes

Branden Albert kicked ###

Jamaal Charles is ungodly quick
