28-28, actually, but that's water over the dam. That stop on the 2-point conversion was huge. Now a FG wins it.Right now, the idiot kicker on the Redskins is to blame. Had he hit a freaking XP, the score would be 27-27.
Redskins would have 28 (they wouldn't have gone for 2 later). But the Eagles likely wouldn't have gone for 2 twice as well. Suisham just won the game with 5 FGs for the Skins last week. Seems a little unfair to blame all this on him.Right now, the idiot kicker on the Redskins is to blame. Had he hit a freaking XP, the score would be 27-27.
Who had Campbell?Which one of the Redskins is going to fumble here?
nice to see the Eagles win one of these games since they usually lose them.Lousy way for this game to end, Washington really looked like the better team the whole game.
Yep, back to the Packer/Bronco superbowl strategy...Let em score...They allowed that scored.Holy crap, that's not stupid, but it's unconventional.
Well, at least they make up for it by not tackling.[/John McKay]All of a sudden, they can't block or catch.
They say it's a physically impossible act, but we see it done regularly on fall weekends.Redskins really do remind me of the Raiders sometimes. Talk about screwing yourself.
VeryThe Redskins have to be the most frustrating team in football -- the perpetual tease. To me, the most maddening part of the game. Up by 2, having the ball on the 5, and running the ball just about every time, most of it up the middle. Before that, they had mixed run and pass very well and had let Campbell do so much more...and Campbell had come through! I really think that was the key sequence in the game. I don't know if that is screwing yourself or just going into a shell at the wrong time. Frustrating.M
You and me both. And next week the Skins have the Cowboys, in what is pretty much a must win game. If they drop to 5-5, that puts them in a position they have to close out the season 5-0 or 4-1 at the worst. Looking at their schedule and their record, this game vs. Philly at home was really one they needed. :-(MVeryThe Redskins have to be the most frustrating team in football -- the perpetual tease. They need 10 wins to make the playoffs. That means 5-2 to close the season with what is about the toughest remaining schedule in the league. You and me both. There's merit to what you're saying. He's a steady hand at the wheel and this organization needed that. He's also got a hard nosed culture instilled in that offense. Trouble is that he doesn't seem able to adapt anymore, which if anything was the hallmark of his first tenure. His halftime adjustments and his ability to win with different QB's the first time around were legendary.I think it goes both way with Gibbs. He's a touch too conservative sometimes, but he also doesn't get away from his gameplan when he's down. These attributes won the game last week at the Jets, and can be partially to blame for today's loss.
The halftime adjustments have been driving me bonkers. That said, the Jets game and the Green Bay game were two games that the halftime adjustments did well for us.There's merit to what you're saying.
