Game Thread W13 - Tennessee V Buffalo (1 Viewer)

This is every CJ owner's biggest nightmare- CJ with two great games in a row, going into the Fantasy Football playoffs. Most of us were resolved not to start this guy next week- too risky. Now what the heck do we do? Is he really back? Or is this is a 2 week tease?
Well, Buffalo's run defense is abysmal. Does he play Buffalo again next week?
he dominated the Panthers, Bucs, and Bills in 3 of the past 4 weeks. Those are 3 of the worst run defenses in the league. He plays the Saints next week who are about average against the run, and then he gets the Colts the week after who are also awful and the Jaguars in week 16 who are about average.Looks like a pretty favorable schedule and he's playing his best football of the year when the games matter most. Looks like a dream scenario for CJ owners to me.Tim>Sorry your 1st round pick is playing like a top-5 RB heading into the fantasy playoffs. What an awful scenario. We'll pray for you.

I doubt this is any CJ owner's biggest nightmare.

It's one of the reasons the Bills should cut bait this offseason.
this is silly.
This from the guy that tried claiming the Buffalo defense wasn't that bad earlier this season.
I did? They were creating takeaways. I said I don't think that's pure luck. They were good enough when everyone was healthy. This team doesn't have enough depth to win with their backups playing lots of key roles.I don't get why Buffalo fans overreact so much. What good does cutting Fitz loose do? Who are you going to find that is better? Are you firing Chan Gailey as well in this scenario, because it doesn't make much sense to cut the guy who runs his offense the way he wants it run.Why not draft a QB to groom behind Fitz for a little while. If Fitz struggles, you can make the switch. If he doesn't, you have 2 good QBs around.

I didn't start CJ, but it is still nice to see him doing well...perhaps there is life after a big contract.

I'd be ok with drafting a QB in the 1st and letting him sit behind Fitz for a year. And I'm sorry, but being inaccurate and missing every deep throw isn't running the offense the way Gailey wants it run.And yeah, a lot of Buffalo's turnovers were luck. Tons of tipped balls ended up in their hands. And let's not pretend the defense was actually responsible for their early success either. Even before the injuries they were giving up a ton of points. Hence the need for the two big comeback wins early on.

We all know that Fitzpatrick isn't Peyton Manning, but he's good enough to build a team around IMO. He's not great, but there are two teams in the AFC East who would probably take Fitz over their current starters.

the Bills need to focus completely on upgrading the defense this offseason. focusing on finding a new starting QB sounds like an unnecessary distraction.

the offense is fine with the players they have (assuming Steve Johnson and Fred Jackson contract situations get resolved). a few tweaks and upgrading the line a bit should be sufficient.

fine. it's the worst defense in the history of football. Cutting Fitz would still likely be a horrible decision.he's good enough to win with.

I like the part where Chandler is mobbed by about eight Titans with no whistle, resulting in a fumble. Good officiating there.

Maybe Gailey does deserve to get fired. This team just doesn't seem to be fully prepared each week and makes WAY too many dumb mistakes. Too many penalties and too many fumbles.

defenders should honestly do that on every play. hold the guy up and just have 4 guys claw at the ball.

Nate Washington down and grabbing his left ankle in agony. You can hear him screaming on the telecast. Looks like it could be his achilles.

coming into this game, the Bills rank 10th in points per game.

QBs and coaches who put up those kinds of numbers usually don't get cut/fired.

drop from Spiller in the back of the end zone, but then Stevie gets the TD on 4th down.

nice TD celebration as well. :lmao:
