Game Thread W17 - Jacksonville V Houston (1 Viewer)

If the Jags win and the Colts lose, then the Jags win the division, so we'll have one eye on this game and one eye on the Colts/Titans game.

Foster runs for a 5 yard TD to give the Texans a 7-0 lead. Earlier in the drive, Foster broke a 56 yard run to overtake Jamaal Charles for the NFL rushing lead. Jags looked unprepared to play on the Texans opening drive.

Texans drive into the red zone again but only get a field goal this time. Texans up their lead to 10-0, meanwhile the Colts lead 3-0 against the Titans.

Jennings on a pitch out to the running back scores for the Jags. Texans still lead 10-7. The Jags came with one of their pound the ball and no pass drives and marched down the field in eight plays. Colts now lead 6-3.

Derrick Ward breaks a long run for a Texans TD. Texans up their lead to 17-7. With Garrard and MJD not playing you'd expect the offence to struggle, but it's the defense that has yet to make a play.

Hey I can't see the game, only get RedZone on Comcast. Is Foster out? I saw a TD by Ward there, nice one.

Nothing wrong with Foster. The Texans are using both running backs liberally, Ward seems to be getting in their more often than normal because Foster is ripping long runs and needs breathers.

Scobee is good from 39 yards out. Texans lead is down to 17-10. Titans and Colts are now tied 6-6.

The Jaguars are in the red zone with 2 minutes left in the first half. Jags continue to pound the ball, and quite frankly, with Edwards being 1 for 7 and 16 yards, it's hard to argue with that game plan. Colts now lead Titans 13-6.

I would really like to see Marcedes Lewis grab another TD just so Reggie Williams isn't on top of that list.
I know historically the Jaguars franchise has been a running team, but I was surprised to hear that prior to this season, Brunnel had the record for most TD passes in a season at just 20.

Schaub to Daniels for a 5 yard TD. Texans increase their lead to 27-17. Colts have a 20-13 lead.

Good god, the Jaguars defense is painful to watch.
Especially when you think of the progress they have made since the start of the season. I would just like to see them play a complete game. If it isn't the defense that's playing poorly one game, then it's the offence. They just can't seem to get a good game out of both the offence and defense in the same game.

Foster rips the Jags for a 35 yard TD run. Texans now lead 34-17 and the light on the Jags season grows dimmer.
