Game Thread W2 - Minnesota V Detroit (1 Viewer)

Holy cow, did you see that play! Kitna throws hard, ball is deflected at the line 5 yards back TO HIM, then he runs and gets upended.

This game is nuts.

:goodposting:

 Lions and Packers 2-0, Vikings tied with bears for 2nd..... .. Watch out AFC the NFC North is coming for ya!!!!! :football:

;)

Again.

The Vikings trust Jackson's arm to pick up third and short.

And so far, he's Oh for Three.

Duh. Give it to AD.
Fixed
Refixed.
Some people don't know how acronyms work.Adrian Peterson = AP

All Day = for idiots
Actually, he has been called AD...as in All Day...since junior high. That is his nickname or at least that is what he has been referred to in Texas coaching circles and at OU over the last 10-11 years.

Great play by Kitna to lead the Lions to victory. I posted in another thread earlier this week about how he doesn't slide well.

As great of a win for them and him that that was, we all saw that the Lions and their offense is NOT very good without him in there. Someone needs to seriously talk to him about not taking so many big hits. It's only week 2!

Was at the game. Lions hung in there after Kitna went down. D played well. Stadium was REALLY loud and the D played with a fire I haven't seen in awhile. CJ was in and out of the rotation all game. Furrey, McDonald and CJ in and out.

Go Lions!

After two weeks it is evident that the Vikings need to give Leftwich a call!

They cannot continue to waste this defense with that type of QB play!

Why do you say that? Lefty has a slow release and no mobility. He is like a statue. I do not like the play of TJ to this point, but at least he can run around when Hicks or Cook miss their blocks. If we had Lefty, defenses could put nine in the box, stack against the run and if for some reason the QB still has the ball, they could just keep heading up the pocket and get many sacks. Can you tell that I do not think Lefty is the answer for us?

Because when given time, Leftwich can make the throw...Jackson can't.

Given time?? Brad got murdered back there last year and TJ is getting the same treatment this year. The OL can setup the Rush, but haven't been good at Pass protection in years.Bard put his career on the line by sticking TJ in there when most believed he wasn't ready. Brad will be waving :bye: if he sticks with TJ. Not that this team has a chance to win it all with the junk at WR, but Holmcomb would be slightly better at this point.

The biggest problem yesterday was the game plan.

Who they :blackdot: thought the best game plan was to have TJ wing it all day and not rush the ball?

It's very simple. AP stands for "Adrian Peterson" and AD stands for "All Day." Some people refer to him by his given name and some by his nickname.
Jesus ####in' Christ, Let it go...

no clue what they were thinking, for most of the game I wanted the playcalling to go back to what it was last year.

For you kids out there learning to play defense. You must learn how to stop yourself mid-air and change directions if the QB releases the ball after you leave your feet. Nice call there refs..
Like I said, different game.
OMFG, just watching the replay on NFL network and jesus that was a ####ed up call. And on 3rd down too :rolleyes:Then it was toped off by the push off in the endzone by "Megatron" Why do I even watch the NFL anymore?
