Game Thread W3 - Dallas V Chicago (1 Viewer)

if this game doesn't get rex benched, nothing will.
agreed.....but this one at home on Sunday night has to be a real eye opener. I mean, right now it's Grossman's fault. If Lovie keeps starting him, it's not going to be a Grossman issue but a Lovie issue. He needs to pull the plug on this guy. I respect the fact he's sticking behind his guy but now he has to realize that there's the rest of the team and those guys to consider. That defense is on the field all the time, they're getting banged up.The answer may not be on this team, but they have to try to see if it is.
The only problem with is is they have no one behind Grossman to develop. Griese is an older, worse Grossman.

Congrats Cowboys fans.

This was a statement game for both of these teams - and Dallas proved that they are currently the class of the NFC, along with the Packers.

Despite Crayton dropping a TD, followed by a blocked FG, followed by a blown call prior to halftime - the Cowboys blew the Bears out.

Nice victory.

Easy division championship for the Pack...
:lmao:
By the time you guys have a .500 record, we'll be 5-1 at our bye week.
I'm sorry your team has sucked so bad and gotten beaten up by the Bears so much the last few years. :bye:
If any team has sucked so bad and been beaten up on, it's Da Bears by the Pack..Just because you've beaten us a few times the last couple years doesn't erase all the smack downs you've gotten at the hands of #4. Looks like your in line for a few more too.. :boxing:
gb not being in the FFA for that first Bears v Packers game. that one is gonna be a bloodbath. guessing at least 3 mods full-time patrolling the thread, one perma-ban and 8 timeouts. oh and 131 post deletions.
Which reminds me to not listen to any sports radio in Chicago tomorrow, or around the time of that Packers game.Frankly I can't believe that a Bears fan would say that the Packers have been beaten up "so much" by the Bears the last few years. If anybody has been tarred and feathered it has been the Bears by the Pack! (And I say this as a Patriots fan working in Chicagoland)

Dallas is for real and so is Romo. The defense will only get better with Newman back and if they get Ellis back look out. Not to mention Terry Glenn. With all that said there is a long way to go. I will leave you with this though. All you haters just chill and if you are lucky Chitown you may be able to get a rematch at Texas Stadium in the playoffs. Good night to all and How boutem.

This kind of sums things up on how a team can get lucky sometimes:

NFL Draft, 2005: Cedric Benson goes in the first round, fourth overall (second running back taken). Marion Barber III goes in the fourth round, 109th overall (tenth running back taken).

NFL Draft, 2003: Rex Grossman goes in the first round, 22nd overall (fourth quarterback taken). Tony Romo hunts for a job after not being among the 262 players (and 13 quarterbacks) drafted.

Which duo do you want right now?

Grossman's press conference had loads of unintentional comedy. He couldn't have believed the stuff coming out of his mouth.

Al Michaels had the line of the night - after another Grossman Int and some hellacious booing by Bears fans:

"The crowd would be booing even louder except most of the fans already left"

That was a great win for Dallas but if they read their press clippings instead of focusing on STL it will mean nothing. Having said that I am more optimistic than I was before tonight's game. I like the way Wade Phillips seems to have this team focused. I never got that with Parcells. There were several points tonight where they could have lost focus and let CHI jump on them but they answered the bell each time. Hopefully they can keep it going. :goodposting:

I'd like to thank Bill Parcells for finding and keeping Tony Romo on our roster for years when I clamored for Drew Henson to play and wondered aloud why this Romo guy was even on the roster and being talked about. God Bless ignorance.
