Smooth w/ a sweet TD run
I'd like to know about him as well. For those who are watching this game, has Santonio Holmes been on the field much today?Santonio?? Is he still in?
I've only watched the 2nd half. Haven't seen him do anything or heard anybody mention him. Sorry I can't be more helpful.I'd like to know about him as well. For those who are watching this game, has Santonio Holmes been on the field much today?Santonio?? Is he still in?

Disagree. If they could get an onside kick, there's a better chance of scoring a TD on 4th down there and getting into FG range to tie than kicking there and scoring a TD.Awful, awful coaching not to kick the field goal there.

Not really. You need a TD and a FG. You're not going to get a better chance at a TD than being 2 yards out. It's a lot easier to get a FG with 40 seconds left after an onside recovery than a TD.That was just a dumb call on Rex Ryan's part. Take the 3 points and get the onside kick.
It has nothing to do with whether you "like" your chances. It's purely about the math. The decision to go for the TD wasn't just right, but obviously right. If you don't like your team's chances to get the TD from 2 yards out, then what are the odds of being able to get the TD if you recover an onside kick?
Indeed. Going for the TD is right if you break down the math too.It has nothing to do with whether you "like" your chances. Pretty sure that was his point. It has nothing to do with whether you "like" your chances. It's purely about the math. The decision to go for the TD wasn't just right, but obviously right.
