So much for the 2-horse race in the North. Lions aren't ready. You don't get steamrolled by an average team if you're ready to take the next step.
Lions 4-0....Packers notnot sure you know what steamrolled means.
:lmao: Really? Did you watch the game? The Lions had very little to do with winning it. You had the advantage of playing Romo in THE most epic choke in Dallas history (seriously, it's a fact). They were pretty much steamrolled.
I never, EVER agree with _mx, but you're out of your gourd. A team doesn't collapse unless another team is there to capitalize. They had help from bad Dallas play, but they won. Saying they got steamrolled is probably the dumbest thing this board will read today.
Exactly my point. Any team would have won this game with Romo playing the way he did. Detroit was the beneficiary, but they won't be able to play against self-destructing QBs very often.
No, not anybody. Did you see how many amazing plays, including the go ahead TD, the Lions made? You gotta have a team that can take advantage of it. It's true that Dallas gave this away, but not a lot of teams could've overcome THAT much of a hole.
I'm not suggesting Detroit is a bad team. Not at all. But I'm getting tired of folks comparing them to Green Bay simply because both were 3-0. Now that they'll both be 4-0 it will be ad nauseum. Folks who watched the game know Detroit should not be 4-0, but the drama machine will be churning nonetheless. Detroit looked outmatched today if not for a few ridiculous plays by Romo, and another amazing few plays from Calvin. Not trying to tick anyone off, but that's the way I see it.
:ptts:
As a life long packer fan, Detroit is a real team. A real good team. Better than the Pack? Well, that's why they play the game. As to the Defensive scores, well Woodson certainly helped the Packers put the hammer down on Denver early, so I am not going to be doing any .

Like I was saying all week, horrible matchup for Lions and especially Calvin. Dallas just eating them alive..

You know what's funnier than the in-game comments? The Sunday night quarterbacks who come in and laugh at the in-game comments. If anyone watched that game it looked like the Lions were toast. It's completely appropriate to say that while it was happening. Plus, given their history as a franchise, they haven't exactly built up a lot of optimism and goodwill. That's now changing in 2011.

Now, if people start making excuses for why the Lions are overrated or something, that would be funny. They're clearly for real and there's no reason they can't threaten for the division and be playing football in January. But when a team is getting hammered on the road, it's not really strange to acknowledge it. :2cents:

There is a difference between, "Lions don't look good today" or "Too little, too late" and the comments like, "this is what happens when you play a real NFL team."

I always wondered what would happen when Detroit played an NFL team.

You jumped the gun a bit last week, I figured you might hold out for a bit longer today.

:lmao: at the fear emanating from fans of teams in the NFC North. I can smell it on you guys. The Lions aren't your whipping boys anymore.
