They were calling that a completion? Are they crazy?

For anyone not watching and interested, Alex Smith threw a little swing pass to Delanie and Walker that he clearly dropped, but then picked up and started running. He was then stripped of the ball and the Eagles recovered. Everyone assumed that the refs were calling a lateral and a fumble originally, but San Fran's challenge is said to be of a completed pass.
