I went to the in-laws for a visit and missed this. Why did Leon get all/most of the work? I don't see anything about a Barlow injury. Is this just Mangini shifting things around for a week?
Just got back from the game. Basically, it is Fred on 1st and 2nd, and MJD on 3rd and obvious passing downs. One exception was when Fred ran a screen for 30+ yards, MJD came in and finished the rest of the drive.MJD's second TD was amazing...he runs into the pile at the goal line, and he gets lost in the pile. The pile keeps moving forward, but you can't see MJD from inside the pile. Replay shows you can't see MJD, but suddenly all you see are ball and hands, and the ball sticking over the goal line. TOUCHDOWN!His legs NEVER stop moving!
As for Leon's stats...In the very beginning, Barlow was used similar to the way the Jags use Fred...on first and second down. Leon came in on passing downs. After the first two possessions, every down was basically a passing down, so I think they kept Leon in the game.Leon got most of his yards on draw plays, as the jags were in prevent defense, and basically giving this play to the Jets, as it made them take a lot of time off the clock.Leon does look like a good player. Barlow showed nothing with his limited action. The jets entered a hornet's nest today!
