Are there other Steeler fans who hate these uniforms as much as I do? I don't understand why they do this once or twice a year. Those yellow helmets are terrible.

Joe Haden picks off Ben in the redzone... shows some serious returner moves in getting it back to the Pitt 40ish.

Cribbs down. Got POPPED. Hope he's ok.

ETA: Looks ok, walked off under his own power. Headed to the locker room for some tests, probably.

Colt McCoy has some serious happy feet. A few different plays where he's had a clean pocket, and he immediately goes into scramble mode. Is also quickly learning that he's not fast enough to run around outside pressure in the NFL.

Still, he's not doing too bad for a rookie. Effective in the short passing and screen game. He hasn't taken too many shots downfield (largely to aforementioned happy feet), but his few attempts haven't looked terrible.

ALERT: Steelers WR Hines Ward has a reception in his 183rd consecutive game, tying Art Monk for fourth longest streak in NFL history.

cribbs hit wasn't his fault. mass hit was. i am sick of seeing crap calls against the qb and stuff like that, but harrison went high there. there was no attempt at a true form tackle and wrapping him up. he was trying to jack him up. plain and simple. i don't mind letting these guys play so all he has to do is blow through the guys body and there is no flag.

Steelers again letting a team hang around. Not a fan.
The Browns have been playing well as of late.Hanging around has plenty to do with them.
Sep 12 @Tampa Bay Lost 14-17 Sep 19 Kansas City Lost 14-16 Sep 26 @Baltimore Lost 17-24 Oct 3 Cincinnati Won 23-20 Oct 10 Atlanta Lost 10-20
Current pace is 14-6 and Ben is getting his stride back.

I was just looking at the numbers here, if he keeps this alive for 8 more games he will pass TO and Marvin Harrison to move in to 2nd place all time (Jerry Rice with 274 won't be caught). TO's streak ended last year.

how did Colt look?
Likely better than most thought he would, but not as if he set the world on fire either. His yardage was pretty decent when you look at his end game #s, but he did most of his damage underneath to backs and TEs, and with zero threat of the deep pass(don't recall him taking one shot deep) the Steelers were pretty much able to load up in the box and squash their run game. He needs to work on his cadence too, because I stopped counting how many times the Steelers had someone in their backfield the moment he'd snap the ball. I think he was tipping the count somehow.Pittsburgh didn't blitz him anywhere near what I expected. Yeah, they sacked him 5 times, but they dropped guys an awful lot on 3rd downs, no doubt to try and confuse his reads, allowing him a lot of time to hit those underneath routes. I guess in the grand scheme it worked, since they picked him off twice and held the Browns to 10 points(7 of which were in garbage time when the 2nd teamers were in there), but it wouldn't have been shocking to see them go all out on him and drop him 8-10 times. Didn't seem to be the gameplan though. When the Steelers DID release the hounds on him, he looked pretty uncomfortable. Was quick to pull the ball down and didn't try to step up in the pocket and make a play that I remember. He should have had at least one more INT on his stat sheet too(threw one directly into Woodley's man-bubble and he dropped it).For a rookie getting his first start, against that D, he didn't look like he was completely useless...and I expect most people expected him to look like an utter train wreck.

On the Cribbs hit by Harrison, Cribbs would be considered a runner and not a Qb correct? Which means that helmet to helmet hits are legal.

Harrison should have been called again..
Yeah... twice in one game. That hit on Massaquoi looks like a fine to me.
Hate when important guys get hit in the head on borderline/cheap plays.Of wait, I was thinking of the Bengals game in Week 4, my bad.-QG

There was no flag on either play... correctly IMO.
