Game Thread W7 - St.Louis V Dallas (1 Viewer)

When I drafted him late in our keeper draft I never thought I would be wishing I'd started Murray over Chris Johnson in Week 7. Chris Johnson is pretty much a lost cause whereas if brittle Felix Jones misses some time, Murray could well be a a great start.

What's the injury? I can't tell from the replays what got hurt and don't have the sound on. Thought I saw the guy sitting up a little bit ago.

Jason Smith LB for St.Louis.Serious Neck injury, breathing labored. Looks really bad.
Was he sitting up at one point? Or was that maybe another player kneeling by him?
I've only seen the replay. He's the No.2 pick overall from the 2009 draft. Thought I heard them say linebacker, but he's the OT.Cadillac fumbled, picked up by Dallas. Smith was going in for a tackle and his neck was in the wrong place. He waved as they stretchered him off, so that sounds better than a few minutes ago.

Sort of the flaw in FF scoring...Murray has an all-time great game for a RB but it's not reflected in FF scoring for the most part. Not sure how you correct it, though. Unless you give bonuses at 150 yds and every 50 yds thereafter?

The only league I was able to get him in we do...40.50 points for me today.

Simple solution is to devalue TDs by increasing the points for yards.

It's tricky, though. Because you don't want to devalue TD's to the point where a guy racking up yards in garbage time is more valuable than scoring a TD or two. I think bonus points at certain benchmarks might make more sense.

Murray just passed Tomlinson, Dickerson and OJ on this drive. One of the ten best rushing performances of all time.

100% correct. The only league I play in is yardage-heavy -- basically, TD's are worth 6, but yards are ~doubled (1 per 10 passing, 1 per 5 rushing/receiving). We made this change years ago (it's unofficially known as the "Zack Crockett rule change").
