Game Thread W8 - Jacksonville V Houston (1 Viewer)

Houston just chipped away at the Jaguars and took almost 7 minutes off the clock before Matt Schaub walks in the TD from about 5 yards

 
Terrible start by Jacksonville

Deji Karim runs in out from the kickoff to the 9 yard line.

MJD goes backwards a yard

Gabbert to Hill unsuccessful

5 yard false start penalty

They get a 5 yard penalty back

Gabbert makes the 1st down on a run and gets a nice knee to the body as a reward. Looks like a rib injury

 
Never been able to figure out why more flags aren't thrown when defenders hit players who are clearly going down or already down. The fact that it was a QB who slid feet first makes it even more confusing. All the dumb personal foul penalties they call...but not this obvious one.

Hitting a sliding QB is always supposed to be a penalty. The refs just didn't do their job.Kubiak is going to lose this challenge.
 
Jacoby Jones with a 28 yard reception and then the Texans go 3 and out (although the 3rd down play (Catch by Walter) is being challenged and may get overturned

Looks like Gabbert is getting his ribs taped. We'll see if he comes straight back in after the challenge (or once Houston scores)

 
Great catch by Walters, almost had his left foot in bounds. Texans looking great while JAX isn't. They are backed up on the 10 yard line.

 
MJD fumbles again, but it was a poor handoff (or MJD wasn't watching properly) - edit the latter

Jacksonville recovers

 
Texans have a perfect first drive to score a TD then remembers they have to go back to being the old Texans and let JAX back in it. What fun would that be if it wasn't close, right? Ugh. Hill catches TD pass. Tied.

 
He's throwing too many passes behind his WR and when he has hit them, a number of them have been dropped. He also get hit hard in the ribs early in the game and wonder if that's affecting him.
