Gap between Rice and Lamb? (1 Viewer)

I have Brooks on my bench (.5 PPR) behind Gibbs/Mixon/Mason/Allen/Moestert.

Was offered Lamb for Brooks + Rice!

FBG has Rice as the #1 WR ROS so not the no-brainer YES I thought initially. Plus the loss of RB depth. Thoughts?

Rice is a ARSB type vs Lamb and a struggling offense. I’m probably in the minority on Rice, but the decline of Kelce really helps him.

Damn, I have Rice, I sweated round after round picking off “higher” ranked guys waiting to get him as late as I thought I could. I wouldn’t trade him for anything but….. I would never expect a CeeDee offer. You’re right. This is tough one. I know the right answer is CeeDee he is the man on a team that started the year with a tough schedule so he should only get better. _BUT….

I can’t believe I’m saying this but I’d probably say no. It comes down to Rice has Mahomes, he is clearly the #1 AND he is getting the Kelse routes and throws now too. That is too much potential to trade away. He might not have the CeeDee ceiling but he has about as high of a floor that there is right now. (Plus the ceiling is pretty nice too 👍🏼)

I am not really sure what Rice's ceiling is on a week to week basis. I actually don't think it is much higher than his floor. I mean is his ceiling 140yds and 2 TD's? It might not even be that high. But his floor is probably 80-90 yds and .75 TD.

He is a volume reception guy for sure but he doesn't get anything over 30-40 yds on any play (at that is unusual). I am not saying that is bad but that I think his week to week ceiling is capped pretty significantly when compared to Ceedee.

That’s what I’m saying. Rice’s floor is beautiful and only getting better.

If I'm trading Lamb I want two starters. I have Rice and Brooks on my team and I'm a little nervous Rice and keep it up at this pace (defenses will have to adjust, right?) and wonder if or when Brooks will really be THE guy in that backfield and smash to help when it matters. I'm not necessarily saying don't take it. Just my 2 cents thinking that you might be able, and should, get better for Lamb.

I’m getting Lamb…but your point remains and I agree. The other guy is 0-3 and would likely start both Rice and Brooks.

If you think Lamb is better go for it. As stated above I’m a Rice guy but at the beginning of the year Lamb was my #3 overall Rice was much further down even though I had very high expectations.

Ah, I misread.

I would not consider that. You can make a valid argument that Rice is now in the same tier as CD. And if not, then he is at the very top of the next tier.
