More football games every Sunday reduces the chances of getting a clunker if you're hooked up to rabbit ears or cable and not NFLST.

Bye weeks end Week 9, which is better than Week 10 as in the past but not as good as Week 8.Remember when they tried giving each team two byes during the season?More games = More chance to have good games = More OT = More backdoor coversWrapping all the byes by week 8 is a great idea.
