Giants Defense (1 Viewer)

Sacks/Interceptsion/Fumbles Recovered/Defensive TDs

This group was very solid week in Week 1 and wasn't special in Week 2 when they played the Colts.

Am I correct in thinking that this group was unexpectedly down last year (somewhat because of injury) and that they are primed for a resurgent season and could be a Top 5 defense? As indicated above, points allowed doesn't matter in this analysis.

Osi Umenyiora has been playing (out last year). Is he 100% and looking dominant?

"wasn't special"? against the Colts . . .understatement of the year . . .

Right. But I'm not entirely sure I understand your post. It's no great surprise than the Colts can put up great numbers against any team, especially at home and after being trounced by Houston a week earlier. Are you saying the Giants are doomed to be a mediocre defense all year?

"wasn't special"? against the Colts . . .A supposed great defense should at least slow them down some (like Baltimore has over the last several years) . . . last week the Giants had little pass rush (like they did in the Superbowl year) and the backline still has questions . . . no reason to believe that they are anything above average at this point . . .understatement of the year . . .
