I turned 40 last month. My wife took me to Cabo AND got me a new set of golf clubs (Ping G30, look at me).

The golf clubs were a GREAT gift for me. I had been playing about once a year but wanted to start playing regularly again. Since she bought them for me, she can't complain when I go play. I've already been out 9 times in the last 6 weeks.

I'll agree with the others about experiences instead of 'stuff'. I don't need more 'stuff'.
